Ronan Farrow and Jane Mayer have released a report in the New Yorker from a second woman accusing Brett Kavanaugh of sexual misconduct — and this time it includes a dildo.
The 53-year-old accuser Deborah Ramirez told the New Yorker that she was initially hesitant to speak out because she was drunk at the time and her memory had gaps. She spent six days “carefully assessing her memories” and consulting with her attorney before going public.
Ramirez said that, when both she and Kavanaugh were freshmen at Yale, she was invited by a friend on the women’s soccer team to a dorm-room party. She recalled that the party took place in a suite at Lawrance Hall, in the part of Yale known as the Old Campus, and that a small group of students decided to play a drinking game together. “We were sitting in a circle,” she said. “People would pick who drank.” Ramirez was chosen repeatedly, she said, and quickly became inebriated. At one point, she said, a male student pointed a gag plastic penis in her direction. Later, she said, she was on the floor, foggy and slurring her words as that male student and another stood nearby. (Ramirez identified the two male onlookers, but, at her request, The New Yorker is not naming them.)
A third male student then exposed himself to her. “I remember a penis being in front of my face,” she said. “I knew that’s not what I wanted, even in that state of mind.” She recalled remarking, “That’s not a real penis,” and the other students laughing at her confusion and taunting her, one encouraging her to “kiss it.”

Drunk at the time - how about OWNING that and being ashamed instead of being a victim because of it.
People here can criticize the Republicans for being too slow and letting the Dems play games like these, but I wonder if they did things differently, the Democrats would have simply tried other tricks in the book.
To bring out something like this at this very late stage of the game has a very desperate optic to it and I have the feeling that there are likely many voters who are silently very fed up and angry with Democrats and media playing these stupid, petty games that have basically no truth in their basis.

This is obvious drumming up support to impeach him if he makes it onto the court - but there’s NOTHING there. No crime - no rape - NO - THING.
Just normal drunken teenage activity.
Meanwhile, Teddy, Bill and now Ellison and Biden, people accused of actual sexual assault are defended by these same women!
It may be politically incorrect, but does a story of a drunken drinking game in college with some sexual misbehavior equal - what exactly? Is that a rape? Harassment? Is it a crime? Did she ever “complain” about it, then or after? I mean complain as opposed to just having a crazy story to tell. Yes it’s a vulgar crazy story, but the problem with liberal stories is they often sound bad, but really are they a serious offense against anyone? You’re in a drinking game with a dildo present - disgusting but leave if you don’t like it. Or pass out as she did. Is she a victim for drinking like that and passing out? Supposedly smart kids acting stupid.
I’m actually a bit surprised it took them this long to find another skank willing to throw herself in front of the train for fame and future bucks. This has become a favored tactic of the Dems because, just like a charge of racism, it’s impossible to disprove and there is no presumption of innocence.
Democrat/republican anticipated response “even if this is not true, it is a serious allegation”
Ramirez seems more credible than Ford. Kavanaugh is toast.
I wouldn’t blame Kavanaugh to simply say “f*ck this.. this isn’t worth putting my family through. It’s a sad time in this obviously declining country, that an exemplary man like Kavanaugh can be so successfully smeared.
People would pick who drank, and she was “picked repeatedly”. She’s so brilliant, I assume she graduated at the top of her class. Gee, do you think in a drinking game the idea might be to get you drunk?
Given these new developments Blasey Ford will decide it is not in her best interest not to testify at this time.
She is not planning to testify. Wont happen. They are looking for someone more credible.
These two women need to be brought to justice for this fraud. I’m quite certain at this point a real federal AG could pin several violations of federal law based on their false stories. It’s time to have the FBI question them and then when it’s found they lied to the FBI send them off to prison where they should be. Enough already. Our laws do not allow for making up stories to destroy other peoples careers and interrupt the official business of the US senate.

An acquaintance of mine played on the women’s basketball team in college. She came out of the closet a few years later.
I have a pretty good idea what this dorm-room party and dildo was all about.
