He probably kept calendars because that's the kind of thing they teach to future leaders who go to exclusive "preparatory" high schools.

Also, there's the polygraph (it's not a "lie detector") issue.
One suspects that it was faked, and done to PREVENT a comprehensive and well-conducted polygraph.
IF the committee wants to put this to rest, they might only need to ask Ms. Ford words to the effect that...
Would you agree, Dr. Ford, to a carefully proctored and refereed polygraph exam, including a blood test to screen for drugs immediately following the exam?
If she is lying (she is) she would never agree to such terms.

The Ford team my be panicking but now they have time to counter with a defense and concoct a counter narrative.
They now have the general outline of his defense and they now have time to rip it to shreds.

There is no such thing as a “well-conducted” polygraph. It is B.S. pseudo-science.
Is Kavanaugh OCD? He also must be a pack rat to have kept all that stuff, but some people do so. That is from out of Left Field, no one would have thought that anyone would be that detailed about their life back in Junior High and High School but it looks like Kavanugh did.
I would not assume that Kavanaugh doesn’t have more cards to play.

He was a busy guy. Scholar athlete. Varsity basketball and football. He had to be organized.

It will have to fit more than just Kavanaugh’s calendar. It will have to match everyone’s calendar and while the other people allegedly at the party probably don’t have calendars they all probably had known vacations, school interview, jobs, or other events that even at this late date could be verified. I don’t think she will ever actually take the stand. My guess is she will have a nervous breakdown and check into a hospital and demand the interview be rescheduled. The only real Dem goal here is to delay a vote long enough that it cannot occur before the midterms and a new senate is sworn in. Or barring that to force the Republicans to confirm Kavanaugh without hearing her testimony so they can try to impeach him later on. If she tries to duck out Grassley should subpoena her and have her drug there in handcuffs.
