WASHINGTON (AP) — Abandoning his previous restraint, President Donald Trump challenged the credibility of the woman accusing his Supreme Court nominee of sexual assault on Friday, declaring that if the alleged attack was so terrible she would have reported it to law enforcement.
Trump’s change in tone — and apparent shift in tactics — came as Christine Blasey Ford’s lawyers negotiated with the Senate Judiciary Committee on the terms for her possible testimony next week in a dramatic showdown over her accusation that threatens Judge Brett Kavanaugh’s confirmation.
Trump tweeted: “I have no doubt that, if the attack on Dr. Ford was as bad as she says, charges would have been immediately filed with local Law Enforcement Authorities by either her or her loving parents. I ask that she bring those filings forward so that we can learn date, time, and place!”
The president previously had avoided naming Ford or plainly casting doubt on her account. Ford alleges that at a party when they were teenagers 30 years ago a drunken Kavanaugh held her down on a bed, tried to remove her clothing and clapped his hand over her mouth when she tried to scream before she managed to escape. Kavanaugh has denied all parts of the allegation.
The accusation has jarred the 53-year-old conservative jurist’s prospects for winning confirmation, which until Ford’s emergence last week had seemed all but certain. It has also bloomed into a broader clash over whether women alleging abuse are taken seriously and how both political parties address such claims with the advent of the #MeToo movement — a theme that could echo in this November’s elections for control of Congress.

Joe Digenova was a guest on Laura Ingraham last night and he made a reference three times to members of the PGA (Professional Golf Association) and how they could shatter Dr. Ford’s credibility if interviewed. When is someone to include Laura going to follow up on this? Digenova usually knows exactly what he is talking about.
I think this is a very smart and reasoned escalation.
Exactly right. They skillfully cloak their means as desiring civility, but what is civil about this woman seeking to destroy this man and his family? What is “civil” about how the Democrats played this at the 11th hour knowing all about this months ago? How is sliming this guy’s reputation because you oppose a Trump SC pick, “civil”?
Democrats and their MSM partners are skilled practitioners at claiming the moral high ground and using American’s sense of fair play at a very weapon against them.

The truth of the charges alleged by Ms. Ford against Judge Kavenaugh cannot actually matter. After all, it will never be clear that the charges are true - and it will never be clear that they are false. Indeed it is tempting to suspect that the charges are crafted precisely to be as noxious-sounding as possible without risk of the possibility that Judge Kavenaugh might be fortunate enough to be able to prove an alibi.The fact that there is a political conspiracy in place against constitutional, limited, government - and against judges such as Clarence Thomas and Brett Kavanaugh who stand for it - hales back much further back in time than the “vast right wing conspiracy . . . against my husband since the day he announced for president” claim made by Hillary Clinton in twenty years ago. That has been undeniable for so long that it hales back almost to the time referred to in Mrs. Ford’s complaint against Judge Kavenaugh.
Even by Ms. Ford's own telling, in the putative incident:
So the natural question for Senator Feinstein, is:
- nobody was killed.
- the prestige of the US government was not compromised by the brutalizing and murder of a US ambassador.
- nobody spent a night in terror and fighting for their lives without support from their U.S. government employer.
- the incident putatively happened way back in 1982. Literally millions of people - no less than a third of the people who were alive in America in 1982 have died by now.
- And the truth of the charges will never be known.

I do believe we can be assured that President Trump and others have Ford’s dirt; all of it including who cooked this RAT scheme up and who paid for it.
We’ve reached the time that Conservatives treat Marxist Democrats the way they’ve treated our President and all of us. Based on what I hear in just talking to people who are really disgusted with the 24/7 onslaught against President Trump, the days of being tolerant of the Left are over.
