WASHINGTON (AP) — Abandoning his previous restraint, President Donald Trump challenged by name the woman accusing his Supreme Court nominee of sexual assault on Friday, declaring that if the alleged attack was so terrible she would have reported it to law enforcement.
Trump’s change in tone — and apparent shift in tactics — came as Christine Blasey Ford’s lawyers negotiate with the Senate Judiciary Committee on the terms for her possible testimony next week in a dramatic showdown over her accusation that threatens Judge Brett Kavanaugh’s confirmation.
Trump tweeted: “I have no doubt that, if the attack on Dr. Ford was as bad as she says, charges would have been immediately filed with local Law Enforcement Authorities by either her or her loving parents. I ask that she bring those filings forward so that we can learn date, time, and place!”
The president previously had avoided naming Ford or plainly casting doubt on her account. Ford alleges Kavanaugh sexually assaulted her more than 30 years ago when they were teenagers. Kavanaugh has denied the allegation.

POTUS has obviously run out of patience with the submissive posture of the beltway GOP. You don’t win elections against rampaging Democrats being doormats like this. Should the hearing be delayed again it will be at least full weeks of hysteria over this single woman on the eve of the midterms. That’s 3 weeks of good economic news being buried, etc. THAT is what will harm the GOP more than anything.

Definitely not as informed as they are on “Dancing With The Stars”, Play Station, and sports. (They’re clueless.)
There was no rape and I don’t think an attempted rape has been described thus far. (Much depends on MD’s statute in whatever year this supposedly occurred. Did the law change around this time?) I think there has been quite a bit of reframing done to upgrade this activity into violence, but why?
Refocusing this complaint and encouraging a police report is a good idea. The missing data needs to be supplied or formally acknowledged as truely missing. Date and place is essential. All the known information needs to go into a police report that can be evaluated.
When this alleged event was acknowledged in 2012, it should have been reported then. I would be surprised to learn that a CA therapist did not discuss that idea. If there was earlier “medical treatment” that would be an earlier reporting opportunity. (It is not clear if this was a recovered memory, or one that was not disclosed to the husband intil 2012.)
Threats being received now also need to be reported to law enforcememt, not the media.
As it stands, this is an extraordinarily flimsy charge. The accuser is a research psychologist who makes her living designing studies to test the reliability and validity of hypotheses. We need to see the data, “just the facts, mam.”

You should read what I wrote a little more carefully.
But of those “too many”, none prepared their attacks on two possible SCOTUS nominees in 2012, none of them coordinated their coming out party with with the major members of a political opposition party. None made pink pussy hats. None.
If I had to pick the LIAR in this Ford/Kavanaughstory, I'd have to go with the one:
1) Refusing to testify under oath.
2) With no corroborating witnesses.
3) Who wiped their social media.
4) Is a known liberal activist.

Opposition surged from 29 percent in August, while support stayed nearly unchanged from 33 percent last month.
What is certain is that Trump’s tweet will be used to bolster support for Ford’s claims. Truth can be lost in the noise machine. The truth is that there is no reason for Kavanaugh not to be confirmed. That should be the President’s argument.

Not this website is full of people who understand that in this war we dare not give the enemy any advantage on any battlefield. The President would have been smarter to take the gloves off from the very start.
Well then will you join my in praying for a full portioning of backbones for that fair body? Written in jest but seriously prayers that those who support Kavanaugh stay the course are needed.
