Sen. Jeff Flake, R-Arizona, sits on the Judiciary Committee and had previously said the committee should hold off on voting until they hear from the accuser. However, Flake said Tuesday that if Ford fails to appear at the hearing scheduled for Monday, he would support his party's push to move forward on a vote on Kavanaugh.
"I think we'll have to move to the markup," he told CNN.
Flake said he's hopeful Ford will accept the committee's invitation and speak at the hearing. "I hope she does. I think she needs to be heard," he said.

I know she did but I don’t believe it - especially if it looks like the Senate going to go ahead and vote - which to me it does.
I think the ‘nutty professor’ found someone on DiFi’s staff that bought into this....hook-line-and-sinker. They were hyped up and DiFi (not really really as sharp as she was a dozen years ago) went along with the scenario. In a week, the vote is done....Kavanaugh is approved. And then some poll will come out from California to say that DiFi lost 10-points to her challenger over this. I don’t think she can win in November now. Pretty lousy way to end your senate career.
