Barely Coherent: Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg Makes an Appearanceā€¦
Conservative Treehouse ^ | Sept. 13, 2018 | Sundance

Posted on 09/14/2018 4:15:47 AM PDT by libstripper

A few weeks ago American media began heavily promoting a generally odd video of Supreme Court Justice doing a workout. It seemed weird. Today, the motive of putting out that video becomes transparent.

Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg appears at an event hosted by the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association (NAPABA). Watch:

Funny how she talked about partisanship as if it were a bad thing when all of her rulings have been extremely partisan. She’s even alluded to the fact that she hasn’t retired because of her partisanship.
I knew she was frail but I hadn’t realized that she was as frail as she appears in the video. And they probably hopped her up on meth before she went out, just so she’d appear yout’ ful. Ruth isn’t long for this world.

She’s in better mental condition than Pelosi.

Damning with faint praise...

Read about the Jacksonian Democrat Supreme Court and his appointment of Justice Taney. Jackson expanded the court to appoint new Democrat members which led to the Dred Scott decision and the Civil War.

It was cut back after Lincoln to block Johnson from doing the same thing.

She’s very old. You know what they say, “It beats the alternative.”

Not if you’re saved. An eternal glorified body beats a broken down earthly body.

"Since when is conservatism “far right”? You apply the socialist political spectrum’s label to conservatives. Tell me, in your view where is the US Constitution on your Left-Right paradigm? Hint: it’s not. At the far Left is pure Communism at the far right is Fascist dictatorship. They are both forms of Socialism."

Maybe I'm misreading your post and normally I would not comment but this "At the far Left is pure Communism at the far right is Fascist dictatorship" is so ridiculous its hard to believe anyone could think it's true.

The idea that fascism is a right wing ideology is a lie made up by leftists in order to put blame of mass murder and human rights atrocities on people of right wing or "limited government" ideology so leftist aren't always to blame. FASCISM IS AN EVIL FORM OF LEFT WING TOTALITARIANISM. IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH RIGHT WING LIMITED GOVERNMENT IDEOLOGIES. Fascism is on the same side and right next to communism and every other left wing ism. Good Grief how could any thinking person believe otherwise! This idea is nothing but the left lying about their lies!

How could you move further and further "right" and have less and less government until suddenly you have the murderous totalitarian rule of fascism? That's just crazy.

Lastly I believe the whole left right scale is inaccurate. it should be a vertical scale, zero government at the bottom to total government at the top. Our Constitution is about as close to the bottom as can be and still have a form of governance that protects individual liberty. Fascism would be very near the top close to total government.

I completely disagree with her views, but she was a beautiful woman and if you watch the video she’s absolutely right.

That sums it up for me, too. Right-wing bias is when some freepers hate whatever someone on the other team says even when they are helping conservatives.

Really? Care to look my posts? Been here for more than 20 years, and was one of the first people here to tell folks Trump was going to win in 2016 and do it right up the upper midwest...

Wish to see a dummy, look in the mirror

My Mother also wore gloves on her hands when advanced in age. She was not diabetic, but had neuropathy, but she had pain in her hands. I think the pain was worse when she handled objects and the gloves avoided some of the pain. She would wear the gloves around her house.

"Since when is conservatism “far right”?"

Conservatives believe in limited government which by the original intent of the sliding left right scale would be far to the right. All the way to the right is zero government. Most conservatives believe in limited or minimal government.

Any form of totalitarianism is on the far left, be it Fascism, Communism or whatever. Fascism is the polar opposite of far right wing.

There is no such thing as being so far right that you morph into a leftist totalitarian.

Honestly I don’t think Feinstein did anything other than an act of self preservation....

She’s viewed as not left wing enough in her home district, so this little stunt buys her space this fall, and won’t do jack to stop Kavanaugh’s confirmation.

My bet he gets 54-55 confirmation votes

She’s honestly one of the lesser whackadoos these days... She looks down right sane compared to Harris and Booker. She’s a liberal no doubt, but she’s not a full on crackpot.

Yesterday she made some sensible comments about the Kavanaugh confirmation hearings. She said the libs turned it into a circus, and that approving Kavanaugh should be bipartisan and unanimous. She pointed to Judge Scalia's case and hers own case as examples of when the Senate functioned properly, i.e. the president gets to pick his appointments.

If Justice Ginsberg steps down or dies next year, there would likely be a repeat of the Merrick Garland battle in Congress. Timing matters, but any change in her status on the court after June 2019 would be widely interpreted as close enough to Nov. 2020 to demand a delay in confirming her replacement.

It would also be difficult for Republicans to argue in favor of replacement so close to a Presidential election after making the opposite case in 2016.

On a human level, yes, it is hard to watch the extreme physical deterioration. It reminds us of our own destination. On the other hand, she is apparently of sound enough mind to knowingly refuse to do the right thing and step down from a position which well beyond her capabilities.

She has done much harm with her decision while on the court, and before. She claims she wishes she could go back to a less partisan appointment process yet is clinging by the remaining thread of her life from relinquishing her position on the court — for partisan reasons.

What truly makes me sad is that, based upon age and physical condition, this woman is very near to death and as such she will most certainly have to give an account of her life and for all the far reaching damage she has wrought.

More than anything I hope she has an epiphany before she slips into eternity.
