The official refused to identify himself but claimed the inspector general’s report said so. However, the IG report said there is “no forensic evidence” to back up the possibility that a hostile power hacked Hillary’s emails. That’s not the same as affirmatively saying there was no hack. In fact, the IG said a hostile power may have hacked it. The fact there is no evidence is not conclusive proof there was no hack. The evidence was probably “erased” — “like with a cloth.”
So as far as I can see an unidentified FBI official is refuting the claim that the Chinese hacked Hillary’s server. I’m just a wee bit tired of these non identified officials making claims. Too convenient if you ask me.

Hillary smashed a bunch of her devices and used “Bleach Bit” on others. How could the FBI know. There were a total of 5 servers.

Maybe someone failed to disclose vital info to the IG. He’s not infallible.

Oh, an “ANONYMOUS FBI Official.” Their source might be a corrupt lie factory leaking illegally. Or they made it up. NBC’s article is a fact-free rehash of the known corrupt non-investigation. Gohmert’s allegation — that Hillary’s server was sending a “courtesy copy” of every email to a particular address — can be true without “hacking” or evidence of intrusion. Notice how the anonymous source doesn’t really address the original claim?
How could the FBI assess Hillary’s various servers hen she had wiped the hard drives and done away with them? I presume the “no intrusion” claims derive from logs kept by Brian Pagliano. The guy who pled the fifth and had an immunity deal because ... everything was perfect.
Gohmert needs to push the issue.
