Sen. John McCain (R-AZ), who was diagnosed with brain cancer in July of 2017, has died. Its the same form that took the life of the late Sen. Ted Kennedy in 2009. Cortney wrote on Friday that Mr. McCain would be suspending medical treatment. For the past year, the Arizona Republican has been fighting the disease, which has kept him from Washington D.C. Sen. McCain cast the deciding vote in the GOPs failed attempt at the so-called skinny repeal of Obamacare. The measure went down 49-51. He has remained in Arizona for medical treatment since the end of 2017. Senator McCain was 81 years old, passing away nine years to the day of his colleague Sen. Kennedy, according to Jonathan Martin of The New York Times.
Mr. McCain ran for president in 2000 and 2008, becoming the Republican Party's nominee in the latter contest, though was ultimately not successful. He served with the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War, being shot down over North Vietnam in 1967, where he remained in captivity for nearly six years. He was released in 1973.
McCain succeeded Sen. Barry Goldwater, "Mr. Conservative," in 1987 after the latter decided to retire.

Coming up next week: John McCain is still dead.
Winning!!
no offense, you are severely duped about meghan.
There was NOTHING honorable about John McCain!
Post of the day!
Well, Bye.
The man wore the uniform. That counts in my book.
Why are they calling him a maverick?
He was the insider’s insider. Politically dirty to the core and a traitor to the Constitution.
Under VERY false pretenses!
He sold they USA out, as a Naval Officer and as a Congressman/Senator!
F that. He’s burning in hell. This is a great day in America.
Pray for his soul. Pray for God's Mercy on America.
BURN IN HELL
Max, is it safe to assume that you’ll not be sending flowers to the McCain family?
Well said. Now is the time to comfort the grieving, not pile on the criticism. May his family find peace.
Agreed. He may have been part of the swamp, but he served and must have gone through h**l.
“Coincidence or providence? I will let everyone else decide”
I don’t know, but I am going to start looking forward to this date with anticipation.
“The songbird has flown into the sky”
Probably crashed again enroute.
He now begins his never ending term in hell.
John McCain, a traitor to his wife, a traitor to his party, a traitor to the uniform, a traitor to his constituents, a traitor to our country, (not sure if it ever was his country).
John McCain earned and deserved NO respect while alive, I refuse to give him any in death.
I suggested a couple days ago POTUS should lower the flags to half-mast for a real hero. Now he will probably have to say something nice and do it for Juan “Rinocrat” McCain.
LOL, yup, there are NO TERM LIMITS in Hell!
Anyone seen the body?
