Sen. John McCain (R-AZ), who was diagnosed with brain cancer in July of 2017, has died. Its the same form that took the life of the late Sen. Ted Kennedy in 2009. Cortney wrote on Friday that Mr. McCain would be suspending medical treatment. For the past year, the Arizona Republican has been fighting the disease, which has kept him from Washington D.C. Sen. McCain cast the deciding vote in the GOPs failed attempt at the so-called skinny repeal of Obamacare. The measure went down 49-51. He has remained in Arizona for medical treatment since the end of 2017. Senator McCain was 81 years old, passing away nine years to the day of his colleague Sen. Kennedy, according to Jonathan Martin of The New York Times.
Mr. McCain ran for president in 2000 and 2008, becoming the Republican Party's nominee in the latter contest, though was ultimately not successful. He served with the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War, being shot down over North Vietnam in 1967, where he remained in captivity for nearly six years. He was released in 1973.
McCain succeeded Sen. Barry Goldwater, "Mr. Conservative," in 1987 after the latter decided to retire.

Coincidence or providence? I will let everyone else decide
If the widow or daughter is appointed the Senate seat, I will come much closer to giving up on this country.
He should have resigned when he was diagnosed. Instead he treated his seat like a Lordship and AZ like a bunch of serfs. Dishonorable.
R.I.P, God bless your soul and be with your family at this difficult time, and thank you for your service.
Trump Killed Dracula’s Care and cancer killed McCain
I will not be able to attend the funeral, but I’ll send a nice note saying that I approve of it.
A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself.
For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to fear.

The Maverick, who the media trashed during his failed run for the presidency, will now appoint him Saint John whose every utterance against the President will be touted as having been inscribed on tablets retrieved from the mountain by Moses!

I’m as upset as the night I heard that Bella Abzug died.
lol...you're awful! MAGA!
Lol That’s a good one.
the dems will be sad that his death has removed the ‘breaking news’ of DJT’s perfidy from the news..
He's lookin' oh so purty and so nice
He looks like he's asleep,
It's a shame that he won't keep
But it's summer and we're running out of ice.
Prayers for the repose of his soul.
You have to go back to 1989 to get an article that actually tells the truth about this man.

” He was an American that fought for his country. Respect him for that. “
As a fellow vet from the same era I respect him for that, As a POW I respect him further. As a senator ...mixed bag. Overall? I can’t get past shooting down Obamacare. F you.
