John McCain, the longtime senator and 2008 GOP presidential candidate who refused to leave fellow prisoners of war behind to escape years of torture in Vietnam, and whose maverick streak as Arizonas senior statesman at times frustrated fellow Republicans and confounded President Donald Trump, has died, his family confirmed in a statement Saturday.
He was 81and had been diagnosed with brain cancer in July 2017.
McCain had decided to discontinue medical treatment for the glioblastoma, an aggressive form of brain cancer, his family announced on Aug. 24. He had surpassed expectations for his survival, but "the progress of disease and the inexorable advance of age render their verdict," the statement said.

Yes as it should. Anyone who’s top conspiracies about George Soros and who are his puppets?

Don’t feel bad for McCain his master just outed himself with that Twitter post above.
Sing away. See tweet below and you’ll see who John McCain’s master was

“GOP maverick”
Is that what they are calling far left radicals today?
Okay. Serious question.
What’s the reason for this relentless media coverage?
There are lots of Senators and old people die. What makes THIS guy special? That he once ran for President? Oh, really? When Michael Dukakis dies, is he going to get endless media propaganda like this? I don’t think so.
What did McCain actually DO (besides demand it) to be treated like some great head-of-state who’s passed on? Or is it because he stabbed Trump (and we-the-people) in the back by voting for Obamacare?
With their over-the-top coverage of John McCain’s death, the media seems to have drifted even further from anything resembling the truth (and I’m only talking about Fox News, here. I can’t even imagine the airtime that enemy media like CNN is giving this).
I don’t understand how that is legal, political office is not a family business.
Whoa I forgot about that, that’s right he blamed her for losing the election didn’t he. What a classy guy
They’re covering him like crazy to make Trump look bad. I must have seen 3 reports already on TV where they brought up Trump questions if McCain is a hero.
He worked against things I believe in...Tight border security/wall, market based healthcare system, America first.
I believed him to be a good globalist and more of a democrat. Certainly not a constitutional conservative and 30+ years of this in the Senate didn't further the cause of the right. 15 years too long in my lil ol pinion.
His time has passed, hopefully we won't see some nonsense like plopping his wife in his Senate seat as a way of honoring John McCain. The country needs to move on.
Well, I lasted about five seconds on Fox News.
Some stuffed suit is claiming how John McCain was such a great guy that he tried to win people over with “respect.”
Oh, yeah... like passing a bogus “dossier” onto the FBI to try and sabotage Trump’s campaign?
FUJM and FUFN. (insert spitting sound here).
Colluded with corrupt deep state actors, propaganda MSM, wacky unhinged grieving democrats and the good ol boy network in the Senate/House in an effort to overturn (soft coup) an American presidential election.
John McCain was one of those who gave off this arrogance of, “this is our sandbox, you will play by our rules”.
Good riddance!!
I’m so sick of the phrase “ maverick senator.” He was nothing more than a right-leaning democrat.
I thought staff. Whoever takes the place of both senators should consider replacing most of the staffers.
My father-in-law retired at the rank of Captain after 32 years in the Navy. I don't know if their paths ever crossed much after the Hawaii incidents, but she would see Senator McCain on TV, my mother-in-law would often mention the Hawaii treatment and say that he was just like his parents, and she had a special distain for the elder Mrs. McCain. Of course, my in-laws were, sadly, total liberal progressives, but their dislike for McCain was based on the McCain family character, not politics.
It's pretty pathetic. The man wasn't a monarch or head of state...but you'd think he was the way they kept everything secret. It wasn't like an empire was going to topple when he died. Whoever tweeted in his name assumed McCain's identity and official position, and sent off tweet after tweet to effect public opinion. The bastard(s) should be arrested for impersonating him.
I hope there are no slave owners buried there. The left will demand the whole cemetery be dug up and moved.
Agreed. He’s been dead for a while. Something changed so that they had to end the charade.
I do not celebrate other people dying nor do I wish pain upon anyone. It can come back on you. Cosmic justice isn’t fun.
About all I can say about McCain is that he did serve in the military and I am sorry he was tortured and suffered so much. However, as a politician, he did nothing but stab his country in the back as often as he possibly could. And he was no conservative, despite his claims. And that’s about all I can say about McCain and remain decent.
They can make a mess on the windshield, to be sure. I wish there were heavy hatches closer to me. A few species in the lakes, and October Caddis in the rivers. My first trout on a fly was a little cutthroat that came up to an Elk Hair Caddis.
