The undocumented immigrant who allegedly killed college student Mollie Tibbetts had worked for years at a farm owned by a prominent Iowa Republican family, a report said Tuesday night.
Cristhian Rivera — the 24-year-old man who is suspected of murdering Tibbetts while she was out jogging — was an “employee in good standing” at Yarrabee Farms, which is owned by the family of former Iowa official Craig Lang, according to the Des Moines Register.

“This individual has worked at our farms for four years, was vetted through the government’s E-Verify system, and was an employee in good standing,” the statement read.

My thoughts when I saw the article as well.
Yes! Thank you for saying this I am so angry this woman was killed because of federal subsidies to the dairy industry. One of the largest reasons why we have “open borders” is because the federal government and big ag are in a relationship to screw the American tax payer. Farmers produce more dairy than people can buy so the feds use our tax payer dollars to bail them out and they allow murdering drug dealing thugs into our country putting our citizens at risk so they can get cheap labor. I don’t for one minute think this guy passed any background check... where did he get his social security number? I live in an ag state myself and am furious about the corruption that occurs. If farmers can’t produce a product that can compete fairly on the open market then they should get out of farming and find another way to make a living. Apparently, they are willing to risk ICE raids and fines so let’s put them out of business...the Asian people get along quite well without milk and cheese!
The question has been asked repeatedly, “How did this happen” as to how the murderer could have been here for so many years undiscovered.
Talk about a stupid question. There are millions here undercover and no one knows about them specifically.
As for e-verify, when someone slips across the border and is not registered, purposefully evades discovery, how could they be on the list?
And if the employer makes false claims about e-verify, how can that be checked?

E-verify is broken, he probably had a stolen social security number. Rumor is that this dairy is known for hiring illegal workers they are just in cya mode. The only way to get control of our borders is to get control of the numbers. Mass deportation, E-verify to force self-deportation, and criminal sanctions for companies that fail to do due diligence when hiring. Otherwise what the hell are we even talking about?
I don’t care what political party hack owned the farm that looks the other way and hires illegals.. it needs to stop now. What can we do as citizens. Well we can absolutely not support and give our dollars knowingly to people who hire illegal immigrants. Do you have landscaping done? home repairs? who does the work? Tell any business you hire that you expect anyone you hire to have only people here legally on their work crews or you will call ICE and the police. It’s not much but it’s a start.
