The media is in a frenzy louder than feeding time at the zoo over the guilty pleas by Paul Manafort, the former Trump campaign manager, and Michael Cohen, Trump's (former) personal lawyer. Manafort's plea was unrelated to Trump. Cohen pleaded to tax evasion (also unrelated to Trump), but also two counts of working with Trump to violate campaign finance laws. ---SNIP--- But more importantly, this was not a campaign expenditure at all. Constitutional scholar Mark Levin has interviewed former Federal Election Commission Chairman Bradley Smith repeatedly on his show over the past year, and Smith has made the point that "dual use" expenditures are not "campaign expenditures" under the meaning of the Act

You’ll note that Mr. Cohen and Mr. Davis never mentioned campaign donations in their comments.
Go ahead folks, and explain how a candidate who was largely self funded, violated campaign finance laws.
I’ll wait.
They’re saying “now we got him!”
They will be profoundly disappointed.
What was last week's outrage? I forget.
It all reminds me of a phrase from Shakespeare: "Full of sound and fury signifying nothing."

So is Cohen Russian or were the bimbos Russians?
Tough to read a writer who is incorrect on the facts. Manafort was found guilty by a jury - he did not plead to anything.
Over and out.
Ihope i live to all these criminals like Davis, Mueller, etc wind up in orange jumpsuits themselves.
This prosecutorial circle-jerk is obscene.
Dirty Cohen should remain behind bars, and perhaps an early pardon for Manafort.
Cohen said precisely what Mueller told him to. He essentially plead guilty to something that is not a crime so he could say Trump told him to do it. At the very least the NDAs will be tossed and we will have to put of with the two women for months. But that could be the least of it. Awan walks and Mueller s goons get away blackmailing Trumps lawyer and tossing privelage out the window. Fn Sessions
I think the big story is how the Clinton toady Lanny Davis became Cohen’s lawyer.
The hot news last week was the Taos County sheriff's raid on the 10-acre compound in the Costillo Meadows north of Amalia, New Mexico near the Colorado state line.
The media ran wild with the photo composite showing two men and three women. The staging of the garments for the courtroom hearing was particularly clever using white flat sheets from the jailhouse and wrapping the women's heads giving the impression of religious nuns. Phooey!
It was a hot story with plenty of graphic imagery showing the rough conditions at the encampment. The story falls apart when the body of the 4-year old epileptic invalid is found in a makeshift tunnel on the property.
No one wants to run with a story about a prominent muslim cleric's family, a dead grandchild, potential terrorist training material, and the health-and-safety of eleven (11) other children.
Little Abdul-Ghani Wahhaj deserved better treatment while he was alive and a better resting place after his death.
If a personal matter is handlled by a candidate ,it is not campaign finance. What we have here is a weasel netlike lawyer. Whos lawyer was the Clinton lawyer, selling Cohen out and trying to say that Cohen was doing of paying the extortion with his own money was campaign target her than personal when it wasnt not. Cohen did this on his own. The good news is NO Pardon. The bastard gets to rot in jail now. What a rat faced weasel.
Now on to real crimes. Hillary was bribed by the Russians to sell out to uranium one or uranium to make nukes to kill us. 130 million to her daughter at the foundation then funneled though salaries and bonuses. Bill spoke for 5 minutes in Russia for 500,000 which killary received her share directly. Lock her up!! Lock her up!! Time to play this game has arrived!!

That’s what happens when you go into defense mode at all costsm
Cohen was an idiot to hire a Clinton stooge in the first place.

I guess the Clintons promised that if Cohen said whatever they wanted him to say, he’d skate. We’ll see.
Thanks for pointing that out. I’ve added the correction to my share of the article.
The editors at AT usually do a good job of catching errors like that. They have caught several of mine in the dozen or so pieces I have contributed. This piece was rushed into release, as it is based on yesterdays events. Likely that contributed to the error slipping through.
