The Catholic Church has to get a grip on this.
Well at least we have 1 Cardinal willing to say it. As long as “Pope” Frankie is there the poofters will continue to corrupt the Church from within. Gay collaborators are infesting the highest places in the Church.
But it should be repeated to numerous people, including many friends and acquaintances of mine, who keep intoning that so-called adult homosexuality and male-male pedophilia are completely distinct and unrelated.
Burke has been fighting Frances tooth-and-nail on all fronts from the beginning, and has paid a steep price. He’s not a newcomer to this issue, and it shows your ignorance to act as if he is.
That made me laugh.
On the serious side, the Cardinal stuck his neck out. I think this goes all the way to the Pope.
Every bishop in the Pope’s home country resigned in protest over something related to all of this, plus I believe murder. I don’t remember the details.
where ever you gather men and boys, one can expect some homosexuality....
but when you get the top people who are of that inclination or try to protect other homosexuals to the detriment of the Church and its people, then its a BIG PROBLEM....
the Catholic church has big $$$$$ so its going to be a target no matter what...
I think it started its exponential decline when in desperation for vocations in the early 60's they admitted homosexual men to the priesthood.....
Cardinal Burke is a great man, and he had been assigned to Rome to head the office which would be cleaning up the deficiencies in seminaries in screening priesthood candidates. It was a good assignment, but as soon as Pope Benedict XVI was forced out [I say that sorrowfully, but I think it is true], Cardinal Burke was relieved of his assignment, and replaced by someone who Pope Francis wanted.
I remember being concerned about the change as it looked ominous, and it was.
I really miss Pope Benedict.

I understand your sarcasm but this is an important ststement. The gay community has always denied this horror was a result of gay priests. They alwsys painted it as pedophilia, which occurs in gay and straight men. In fact the victims do not fall into the age range of pedophilia. They are early to late teens, making and secual encounter a homosexual one. I had talks with my pastor about this and he revealed to me and later to the parish at Mass that during his seminary studies in the 70s homosexual activity among seminarians was rampant. This is a secret the gay community wishes to hide, but gay men of early middle age seek sex with younger often much younger males. The Csrdinal has just touched the third rail of the gay community.
Cardinal Burke is one of the good guys.
