Growth: The stronger the economy gets under President Trump, the more desperate his critics are to hand credit over to Obama. Even if that entails changing the past.
A recent New York Times story says it all: "An Economic Upturn Begun Under Obama Is Now Trump's To Tout."
The article begins by admitting that "by nearly every standard measure, the American economy is doing well," then spends the next 1,400 words arguing that the current good times have nothing to do with Trump's economic agenda.
The economy, reporter Patricia Cohen declares, "is following the upward trajectory begun under President Barack Obama."
Upward trajectory?
We seem to recall that the economy was stagnating in 2016 after the weakest recovery from a recession since the Great Depression.

If Obama was so very good, why does Trump have to do so much catch-up now? It should have been a smooth and seamless transition, and not all these demonstrations and Congressional stalls.

Bammy blamed the recession on Bush for about 6 years. Then he used all his energy giving money to muzzies and giving cuba a free gift. He did not cause the economy to rebound.
Now the f*ckfaces in the media are crediting this to bammy. Moral: never give a Republican credit for anything; blame everything on the nearest Republican; lavish praise on any democrat; double the praise if the democrat is an incompetent, specially-privileged minority to hide the fact that he is destroying the economy.

To be fair, the stock market did begin to surge during the last year of the Obama administration. That’s because it enthusiastically anticipated his leaving!
With equal tariffs, they still get access to a far larger free market than our exporters do.
And free is the key here because most of our trade partners know that unlike China (who can and will use a similar argument) our market access is real, not theoretical.
To effect the behavioral changes desired in our "trading partners" will require much sterner, more encompassing and much higher tariffs. The sooner the better.
Right... Anywho who has been paying attention to the stock market and events for the past few years knows this ‘news report’ is a pile of garbage.
Since the news has finally stopped calling themselves non-bias.... can we get them to refer to themselves as ‘Propaganda’ instead of ‘News’? I mean, they are normally the language Nazis... you’d think they would want to say what’s right.
Think of it this way. If Obama had not burdened the US economy with so many punitive and counter productive regulations and taxes, there would be much less to repeal. The contrast is unavoidable, now that the yoke of stupidity that was the Obama Administration is no more.
