Former short-term White House aide Omarosa Manigault Newman is attempting to stir up interest in a new book by delivering audio that she secretly recorded in the White House situation room when she was fired by Chief of Staff John Kelly. Ms. Manigault released the audio to NBC for use in a Sunday broadcast of Meet the Press with Chuck Todd.
There is a strong possibility Ms. Manigault has committed several violations of federal law with a secret electronic recording within a SCIF (Situation Room); however, any action therein would only further provide fuel for her already discredited self-promotion. The fact Ms. Manigault made the recording speaks to her duplicitous intent and lack of integrity.

And an unauthorized recording in a SCIF is a serious violation in itself... unless you’re Clinton.
She's already played the race card.
Prosecute her. Don’t be afraid. Good talking points can be devised by conservatives who are not timid or brain dead.
About 8 years ago I was in a Republican leadership class and we had a private tour of Defense Secretary Robert Gates’ office at the Pentagon. He wasn’t there but we had to leave our phones (cameras) outside.

Kelly was completely professional. He told her in so many words that she had broken laws and that he hoped she would not force them to prosecute her for those crimes. So much for that.
So she was too nuts for even the Rats. When she was working for Trump and made that comment that “Trump will rule the universe” right there I knew she was a headcase and it was only a matter of time before she was let go.
And by the way: NBC claims it has a tape of Trump using the N word and says it can’t release it because of “legal issues” yet they release the tape of Kelly firing her? This is more BS that they are pushing solely to harm the President. More crap without a scintilla of evidence that they are pushing as fact. How is this not sedition?
So can I assume the NBC will be the first to release the videos of Keith Ellison beating on his girlfriend??
Shes gonna get prosecuted for those recordings.

She was in serious legal jeopardy. Trump/Kelly gave her a door out and all she had to do is obey the non-disclosure agreement. Break it, go to jail.
It’s a security violation to even bring a recording device into the area, much less, actually make a secret recording!

I always thought that Trump chose to bring her to the White House, knowing that she'd be a tempting target for those who wanted to "flip" someone on the inside. IOW, bait - and too stupid to realize it. Hope I was correct in that suspicion.

Any portable device that can record and/or transmit information cannot be brought into a SCIF unless it is for an official, authorized purpose under the control of the security and IT managers.
Cell phones in a SCIF are a no-no. It is possible that in the WH they use secure cellular phones that are OK in a SCIF but then it is illegal to transfer any information from those phones onto a non-secure device. So if there is a voice recording taken in the Situation Room and brought outside, there is a law violation. The exception is of course that if it is done by Hillary Clinton or any associates of hers, it's all fine.
Duh, wouldn’t bringing a recording device into the Situation Room for the purpose of taping people be a violation of some kind of law? Seems like that room is a secure area with national interests discussed. People secretly bringing in recording devices could tape things and give them to our enemies. Some of these creeps are not beyond helping our enemies.
I agree trump knew what she was and what she was capable of. Amoroso being a part of his campaign and even a member of the administration had more to do with keeping her from being a tool of the demacrat party. if she redeemed herself great but she did not and when she became troublesome she was fired.
She is in violation. Should be facing 10 yrs.
