NBC News intelligence and national security reporter Ken Dilanian on Monday dismissed the Daily Caller as "Trump's pet media" after one of its reporters was called on at a join press conference with President Trump and the Prime Minister of Italy.
What was I saying earlier about Trumps pet media. He actually called on the Daily Caller. Next up: Sputnik," Dilanian wrote on Twitter on Monday after Daily Caller White House correspondent Saagar Enjeti asked Trump about a possible government shutdown if $25 billion isn't provided by Congress for a border wall along the U.S. Southern border.
Enjeti shrugged off the criticism following the joint press conference in the Oval Office on Twitter.
"Just left the joint press conference with @realDonaldTrump and the PM of Italy. Let me guess, the internet is mad I got a question," Enjeti wrote.
Following his tweet, Dilanian faced blowback from other journalists on social media later Monday afternoon, with some pointing out that Enjeti's question generated news.

As the NBC correspondent was leaving the event he was heard to yell, 'Don't you know who I am? I'm Charles Foster Kane!'

Dilanian’s the guy the LA Times slammed for his cozy relationship with some folks at the CIA.
Maybe he’s Brennan’s boy toy.

Well how rude. He’s definitely not going to get a good table at this year’s correspondents’ dinner.

This is not unusual coming from the feral leftist pig “media”.

So, does this mean that virtually all of the "mainstream" media are Obama's pets? Because that is pretty much how it looked for 8 years and counting.

One thing that's for certain is that new organizations don't own the news anymore.... social networking is changing journalism so fast the average reporter can't stay up to date. They are no longer ‘the gatekeepers of information’...It appears too often they are resorting to injecting themselves into the story or ‘creating news events’ for coverage which is what we see a lot of now.
Pundits have become and act like Hollywood stars.....coveting face-time and notoriety while competing not only with other networks but within their own network among their peers. The actual 'job' of reporting the news is at best secondary to attracting the attention they covet.
