That’s how much Sarah Sanders earns a year as White House Press Secretary. She joins 23 other White House employees in that top salary bracket.
That means this is also how much she is paid to spread lies to the American people and peddle conspiracy theories on behalf of the president of the United States of America.
Sanders has had her current job for a little over a year. But it’s become increasingly clear that there are very few limits to what she will do when it comes to making excuses for her boss. Being the press secretary is a difficult job in any administration, but Sanders continues to lower the bar when it comes to falsehoods and obfuscation, in the process undermining the Bill of Rights not to mention the integrity of the Trump White House.
Simply put, Sanders is reaching a point of no return; in fact, she may have already passed it. The question she needs to ask herself is $180,000 a year worth the damage she is doing to herself, the free press, the institution of the presidency and ultimately, the country at large.

I stopped reading at the first sentence, where NBC seemingly (and I am being overly gratuitous with that allowance) wants us to infer that Sarah’s salary (well worth it, IMHO) has anything to do with, well - anything.

Nowhere in the article is any acknowledgment that the media have hyped the hatred of Trump AND his voters to hysterical levels, which has incited violence against both persons and property. Recently a list documenting hundreds of acts of violence and vandalism of an anti-Trump nature was published. I have not heard a single peep from either those in the media or the democrat party, condemning violence and vandalism. What I have heard is a continuing ratcheting up of the hate-filled rhetoric by both the media and the dems. They have made themselves the enemy of the American people.

There isn’t another low rating the press can achieve. They hit bottom years ago.
There was nothing in his article to actually support his claim. He simply ASSUMED the claim, in order to argue about what she should DO about it.
Instead, he dredged up some long-dead controversy about whether or not the press had something to do with Osama Bin Laden turning off his phone. The WP tried to dismiss this as “urban myth” in 2005, but in that attempt, had to acknowledge that the idea for it came from the bipartisan 9/11 commission, and nobody ever retracted those findings.
But to this “reporter”, an ambiguous “fact-check” was solid evidence that refuted a full commission report, and therefore Sanders was lying to still refer to it, even though most people still actually believe the commision’s findings.
But that is a typical liberal media thing, find SOME source that will say what you want, and then not only claim that this source is “FACT” but that it is so obvious that anybody who disagrees is in fact an enemy of the truth, and should quit or resign in disgrace.
Oddly, his article reads pretty much like “Trump is an enemy of the people, and anybody who works for him is an enemy of all that is good in the world”.
This, in an article complaining that calling someone an “enemy of the people” is the same as asking for them to be beaten or murdered. Which they also claim they would NEVER do against any trump official, even though Sanders has been so threatened that she needs secret service protection.
My feeling is that, if you don’t want someone to think you are an enemy of the people, you should stop publishing false things that are meant to mislead, confuse, and cause harm to people when they believe you.
