The intrusion took place at Bell Stonebridge Apartments in Woodbridge, VA.
Working in politics, you become accustomed to the rough-and-tumble nature of the sport. But never in a million years could I have anticipated the New York Times sending a reporter to break into my apartment looking for a story. Were working with police investigators, and look forward to justice being served, Brian Landrum said in a statement.
The eyewitness was listening to music when she heard rustling, turned around, and saw a female in Landrums kitchen. The woman was turning to leave. The kitchen is 5 to 10 feet from the apartments threshold. The apartment is a secured facility with key fob doors. Non-residents are not allowed in the apartment building without consent. Access to the apartment building requires a key fob.

Trying out for Mueller’s staff.
They were armed. See? The gun is right there in their hand.
And that is how it's done.
Just make sure that you didn’t fill out a 4473 for that gun.
I wasn’t referring to your post. I was referring to the one you responded to.
#7. Yes, you take one step backwards and if the intruder is still there, has a weapon in their hand, or is moving towards you, you can shoot, many times.
As my police office son used to say, we have plenty of ammunition for any intruder, the poor bastard.
PS: We did have one person who had been in our house as a guest of a family’s friend, and later threatened to kill us (we had no idea who he was. He had hidden drugs or money in our house without us knowing it). He was an interstate drug dealer according to those who knew him. We put his ass in jail.
OBTW, he is alive only by the grace of God and good timing, and one wonderful police officer from another jurisdiction who took his death threats seriously unlike my local clowns.
You were in the kitchen. Knives all around, and she said something menacing.
If someone breaks into my house at night, how do I know if he is armed? Ask him? I dont think you are correct.
Yes, the article is a hoax, and look at how many people fell for it.
Officer, I yelled at the intruder to get the hell out of my house, that's when they grabbed the knife out of my butcher block, leaving me no choice. BANG! BANG!
>>Go ahead and shoot an intruder who is not armed and is not an imminent threat and see if you get away with it.
Thats why you put a kitchen knife in there hand after they are dead.
That should be easily checked. If she was in a lineup there would be a written police record. It may be on the internet. I do not know.
In Texas it sure is!
You can even shoot somebody in your neighbor's house.
Yes, the article is a hoax, and look at how many people fell for it.
My first step when reading a thread on FR is to CLICK and read the article. I note the source and I check for verification.
It's pretty easy to figure what which stories are suspect.
It would be here too.
She would have had a really bad day getting past my Malinois.
In FL, shooting an intruder INSIDE your home earns an attaboy from the local police and an admiring writeup in the local newspaper.
Good for FL!
