Fox is reporting Trump will speak at 2:00 about the pearl clutching regarding the Putin event yesterday.
Rod Rosenstein was called to the White House today.

Schumer thinks he has the upper hand - he has the Republican Senators cowed. They are easily cowed and tend to hate Trump anyway. This is a very dangerous situation. I think the professional political class has the knives out and are going for the kill - or at least to neuter him until they can beat him in 2020 after destroying his presidency today. They want to go back to the old lucrative (for them) ways.

Expectations of confronting Putin was highly pushed by the media and the old cold war horses 24/7 for the Helsinki meeting...but that was not the intent of this meeting to restore communication with Russia which even the Nato supported....it’s only our media and the globalist news pushers drum beating to go after Putin during that meeting.

I agree but this is a very dangerous situation. If he backs down, that could end him...because without political support in D.C. he needs to win every time, especially on Russia. I hope he has a nuke to drop on them and is going forward with it. I’d hate the outfall from him backing down now.

Yeah, they’re really panicking. Schumer and Menendez are rattled. I think they started at 2:30 so that Trump’s address would overrun theirs or something, but Trump’s just waiting.
