"Impeach him for what?" Gowdy said. "No."
"I've had my differences with Rod Rosenstein," said Gowdy, who chairs the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee. "I talk to him quite often privately, which again is a lot more constructive than the public hearings we have."

True. The GOP is all bark and no bite, that is why these guys are so smug when they appear before Congress.
If the excuse is let Trump do it, then why impower these limp dicks with the power of impeachment? Gowdy is a toothless pit-Pomeranian... all bark and no bite. Worthless. Not sorry to see him go
Fortunately, this phony will be out of office come January. He has been all talk and no bite for far too long. He is not fit to polish Devin Nunes’ shoes.
.
Of course he is.
And Gowdy would preside and grandstand over the Prosecution of the FBi if one half of this was done to Obama.
He would bask in the glory of that Prosecution.
Anyone who has paid attention knows Ryan, Gowdy, and a whole host of Trump critics would go crazy if one half of this had been done to Obammy.
I found a quote from Rubio - when Trump was Questioning the Integrity of the Election - and Obama came out and mocked him saying its never happened in his life, and its impossible.
Rubio sided with Obama and slammed Trump saying he was dangerous for saying the Election needs to be monitored for fairness and dirty tricks.
.
Yes, Meadows, Nunes, Jordan have all called it out in the news, that is why they are gathering documents for his impeachment.
One of his biggest lies was that he said he had already sent all the documents they requested.
He is playing games trying to protect himself and others. President Trump has also tweeted that there is no reason for the documents to be delayed any longer. Rosenstein has been trying to run out the clock to the midterms but he is fearful now because Congress has already passed a resolution against him. So he knows they mean business. They’ve been letting him know for months that impeachment was an option they could put on the table. He blew that off until the House resolution was passed. Now Congress is getting impeadchmnet papers together.
The hammer will drop after the midterm elections you can call me a moron you can call me an idiot you can call me anything you want if that doesn’t happen but there will be a Thor like thunder Hammer after the election and everyone will be arrested.
Gowdy was and is Deep State. Why do you think Hillary walked when she armed Al Qaeda & other terrorist Jihadists in Libya (who happened to kill our ambassador).
Gowdy has always had Hillary’s back. He is scum.
Impeachment dies in the senate so this is a dead end. The power of the purse and not filling DOJ and FBI positions are their real only power and with the loathsome budget deal the power of the purse is gone for now. Congress did this to themselves. Then again if the IG report is damning for Rosencrook that would be grounds to justify a Trump firing him.
If Sessions is doing anything behind the scenes the groundhog needs to pop his head up and finally indict and prosecute these crooks or the DOJ and FBI can go down in the books like the KGB, NKVD, STASI etc... They can never be trusted again for anything they do or say.
I believe Trey Gowdy is not running for reelection and not a Supreme Court Justice nominee simply because president Trump knows he’s going to need him when he does drop the Hammer with sessions and these idiots are indicted they’re going to need all the help they can to get the convictions and fight the war.
Well ok, then. Just give him the suggested Maxine Waters treatment:
If you see anybody from that Cabinet in a restaurant, in a department store, at a gasoline station, you get out and you create a crowd and you push back on them and you tell them theyre not welcome anymore, anywhere,” Waters recently said.
I have been expecting that hammer to drop as the elections approached -- so that the Democrats would exposed and shamed and so that the midterm elections would be a tsunami for Trump.
So far, it's not playing out the way I had hoped.
Maybe it will happen after the mid-terms. But, I have to say, I don't think I can go on saying ... Fall 2018 ... Winter 2019 ... Spring 2019 ... Definitely Summer 2019, man, I just know it's coming1 Really ... Fall 2019 ... Winter 2020 ... it's coming ...
That's very obvious, his forked tongue hot air hollow rhetoric has long ago grown old and weary. Gowdy is indeed way more interested in protecting the deep state cronies than he is in bringing them to justice for the many crimes they have committed against the people of this nation. It's just Gowdy wraps it all in fake patriotic sounding rhetoric. Deep state coward.
Can’t see the back of the shirts but I would guess the black guy is wearing the one that says “I’m with stupid”.
President Trump doesn’t answer to Trey Gowdy. Gowdy is saying exactly this!
Rosenstein is impeding and obstructing Congresses oversight responsibilities and duties so it is well within the purview of the Congress to do due diligence and impeach him for his deliberate obstruction tactics as he is required to do by law. Don't try to lay this off on Trump.
Not only did President Trump nominate Rosenstein to the Deputy AG post in February 2017 ...
When Rosenstein tendered his resignation as U.S. Attorney for the District of Maryland in March 2017 under the orders Jeff Session gave to almost all of the U.S. Attorneys (as is usually the custom when a new administration comes in), President Trump refused to accept his resignation.
Donald Trump wasn’t my top choice for the GOP nomination in the early months of the 2016 primary season, but even back then I knew damn well that this guy would not go through all of that sh!t just to get to the White House and let some jackasses in Congress and career bureaucrats in the various executive branch agencies dictate terms to him.
All this talk about impeaching some career DOJ hack like Rosenstein does nothing but feed the perception that the DOJ operates independently of the White House.
He's right. But there's something else he didn't mention:
Trump could easily order Rosenstein to turn over these documents in one Twitter post, too.
He hasn't done that. I'm not sure why, but I AM sure that I am in no place to question President Trump over his approach here.
