President Trump wants to update the paint job on the next version of Air Force One, ditching the iconic robin's-egg blue (which he calls a "Jackie Kennedy color") for a bolder, "more American" look.
The big picture: Trump rarely gets into the weeds of government negotiations. But he sat down in the Oval Office with Boeing CEO Dennis Muilenburg in February to personally hammer out the $4 billion deal for a pair of replacement 747s for use as Air Force One (the call sign for whatever Air Force plane the president is on).

I don't know. After more than half a century, that color, and the whole design, have now become an iconic American symbol.

What kind of flags are those, 21 stars and 11 stripes? They look like a poor photoshop job.
I like the blue with the white stars sans the eagle head. A picture of an eagle flying can be put on the tail. The nose can be red.
Or the entire plane can have an American flag paint job from nose to tail.

Objectively, it sends a weak message, and the US has been on a losing streak ever since. The country needs something less pacifist. Truman had a bald eagle painted on the nose of his plane. Eisenhower went with a plain plane in air force markings with a presidential seal added near the door.
If allowed to do it, Obama would’ve painted the Koran on the plane.
