FBI official Peter Strzok testified Thursday that he can't recall using his work computer to soften the wording of a statement exonerating Hillary Clinton of mishandling classified information.
Strzok conceded during a joint hearing of the House Oversight and Judiciary committees that metadata indicates his computer made the change, but said he can't remember doing it.
The June 2016 edit changed "grossly negligent," a term that carries legal liability under the Espionage Act, to "extremely careless."

Are you serious, Clark?
If so, why can this not be brought up in the hearing?
If you recall, in a similar situation, a Clinton staffer testifird that he lied to his diary.
If Strzok admits it was his computer, then you charge him with negligence for misuse of his computer and violating security protocols.
Get him on anything that pulls his clearance and bans him from government work for the rest of his life.

Here’s the clincher....As soon as Mueller found out about the texts, Mueller told them to get lost. That’s conclusive evidence of their bias.
He can’t recall? Did he borrow Hillary’s pink sweater?
A soft firing like that might be the best tack to try to take.
Haven’t seen that one in a long time. Don’t remember much. There’s only one comment still on FR, apparently.
You aren’t paying attention. Trump leave people in place that are corrupt or incompetent. This guy should have been indicted by DOJ months ago. Sessions has done nothing. Congress is incompetent. It is apparent that congress will do nothing. It is apparent sessions will do nothing. It is apparent trump will do nothing. The last they can do is fire the guy. Accept the evidence so far and send him home with his pants down. And his girl friend also
I wonder if they are fogging out to beg for an easy exit from a war that they know they will lose one way, if they don’t lose it another. Trump needs them visibly twisting in the wind to help the hoped for “red wave.” Trump has the nerve to stand up to it.
Our Parliament of Whores.
Well, today’s Congress will go nowhere with any such ball, and the Dems know it. The cruel question for them is whether to fold this charade, or let it stand open and help this November’s red wave.
Trump has the power to fire. He should fire everyone between him and this corrupt agent.
(By “any such ball” I mean an indict/impeach ball)
Should he saturate the alphabet waves with wagging tongues on that subject, or should he use the existing situation to exhort for a red wave? I think he wants to do the latter.
I wish his wife would wipe that smirk off his face & serve him with divorce papers.
Yes indeed.
He did it, IIRC, so that when history was written he’d come off better than in reality.
He wasn’t alone in that.
From even before Bubba took office I seem to recall all the Clintonistas talking about the legacy he’d leave. It was their obsession.
And the servile press agreed that he’d leave a great legacy.
Even after he’d left office they were obcessed about his legacy ... I recall hearing a Clintonista on the Sunday Talks after 9/11 lament that because of timing Billy Boy had been cheated of a chance to show his greatness.
It turns out you really need three things to have a true asshat. Two of course are an ass and a hat ... but the third without which you really can’t have a full on asshat is a Clintonista ... all other asshats are pale imitations.
possible
Have you ever seen anything as disgusting and disgraceful as the democrat hacks on this committee?
I’m convinced that we cannot coexist with these monsters for much longer. There’s going to be a breaking point.
One old post here showed a goofy looking younger hayseed expression by Bill and usual Hillary with the caption: These two people were paid (???some number) millions of dollars by publishers for their memoirs but they testified they cannot remember anything.
he is months late cleaning house in DOJ firing one or two and leaving the same type of person is in charge is dangerous. Leaving sessions there and a person he called a criminal for 2 and a half years free and walking around is gross negligence. Of all the things he has done well, the fact that this sticks out like a tumor is incomprehensible.
This guys today should have been indicted three months ago and there would have been no congressional hearing. If he was indicted he may have given additional info on his bosses.
The president has the power and has done little in this vital issue.
