Uh oh. Spidey Senses tingling.
Like..........his wife maybe?
Now I’m concerned. Why is this corpse helping Trump, whom he hates?
Psy ops.
He should resign just out of common decency and the good of the country. He is not representing the good people of Arizona. I guess his ego is just too big.
Or this could be more about the McCain camp and the uniparty finagling to get the successor they want...
McCain would never do anything good for the USA.
He gets a kind of immunity while he’s a sitting Senator. Depending on how long he’s got left, that may be part of it.
McCain knows he isn’t returning to DC and can no longer perform his responsibility to the people who elected him, misguided as they were. Why on earth would he not give up his seat? (Rhetorical question. Its because he is a complete ass and hates Trump.)
Quid pro quo: you want your guy, you let me pick who gets the seat and I’ll make sure he gets a “yes” vote.
I don’t view it as helping Trump, but he obviously likes Kavanaugh. That probably means he is a creature of the Swamp. That I don’t like.
Will be interesting to see where Mike Lee comes down on this. We know Rand Paul doesn’t like, but he doesn’t like anybody . . . and apparently, not many people like him.
Because if he does the governor will appoint a successor to the seat and apparantly McCain wants it to be his wife but that's not popular and the Governor is facing his own election. So until he gets a promise that he gets to pick his own successor, he's not giving it up. Or perhaps whoever is pretending to speak for him. Either way, I Think that's what's going on, and he's using this looming SCOTUS battle as ammo to force the governor's hand.
Oh yeah Senator McCain, Ill raise you this. You resign, we appoint who we damn well please and nobody will suffocate you with a pillow.
(I kid, after all, we are not the Clintons)
This. No deals with terrorists.
In this day and age, why are’t legislators able to vote from home? With witnesses, including reporters to ensure the vote isn’t forced.
Never trust the Bush hack castellanos. This swamp dirtbag belongs in hell
It will do nothing but make it easier for Collins and Murkowski to vote no.
