Every time a Republican nominates someone to the Supreme Court, it seems that the liberal say that this individual is a grave threat to our nation and our civil rights.

This act gets old after a while. Many Republicans have served on the court, and the republic is still here. Our rights are intact. Gorsuch was supposed to be a disaster, yet we’re still here. The liberals are still here to fight their battles.

That and an endorsement from National Review count as two strikes in my book.

‘establishment’
A judge is by definition ESTABLISHMENT!!!!! What is wrong with these people?
If he were an outsider, they would make that a problem too!!!
The solution is to put all liberals, leftists, progressives and other airheads in somalia.

Chuck-U will force endangered Red State Democrats to vote against Kavanaugh, sealing their fate and kissing goodbye his prospects of becoming Senate majority leader.

Then again, Democrats hate Trump so much they’re willing to sacrifice their own best interests to thwart him.

He taught for Elena Kagan. The portrait of a dyed-in-the-wool extremist.

Have at it, Democrats.

California senator Kamala Harris announced she would vote “No,” declaring that Kavanaugh “represents a direct and fundamental threat to the rights and health care of hundreds of millions of Americans.”

Why, of course he does. / S

I certainly understand why people like Harris and Feinstein would oppose his nomination, you know fund raising is important fleecing the progressives out of their money is a given.

a direct and fundamental threat....th hundreds of millions is so over the top, they must realize how stupid they sound.

How many people are on Obummer care ?

Although I understand the probable reasons for this nomination, I'm disappointed that we will have yet another Harvard-Yale-DC Court of Appeals (read DC insider) justice.

This is a vast country of some 300+ million people. Why do we always get stuck with a member of the Harvard-Yale-DC elite on the Supreme Court. That is such a narrow, insular slice of this country. Kavanaugh might be conservative, but he is by, from and for that narrow elitist slice. His drippingly politically correct speech emphasized his swamp sensibilities.

I have wondered if Trump is simply “saving” Barrett for when Ginsberg retires.

Double whammy!

“Whaaaaat...you lefties are voting down a woman?”

Hopefully Trump has a knack for this stuff. You are so correct.

John Roberts is a flaming homo, who somehow played fast and loose to get his adopted kids into the country. That’s why he switched his vote, in my opinion. All of which is to say, you are entirely correct.

That is a big disappointment.

That said, Bork was a pretty big Yale/DC insider until they Borked him. Soooo....maybe BK is good.

My disappointment over the narrow slice of America that is continually tapped for SCOTUS transcends individuals. Kavanaugh might turn out fine, but he still represents that narrow slice.

Our rights are intact.

Are they? Some GOP nominated justices have done plenty to erode them. But not in the way the left implies but rather by siding with the totalitarian leftists.
