Jordan denies knowing of alleged Ohio State abuse, calls timing of claims 'suspect'

Politico reported shortly before Jordan’s appearance Friday night that six of the former wrestlers had spoken to the publication about the alleged abuse.

“Conversations in a locker room are a lot different than allegations of abuse or reported abuse,” Jordan said Friday, adding that “no one ever reported any abuse to me.”

Jordan said that if he had heard of the alleged abuse, he would have investigated it, adding that “if in fact there were victims, they deserve justice.”

“Our coaching staff, we would've dealt with this,” Jordan said. “These were our student athletes. A good coach puts the interest of his student athletes first.”

Jordan denied knowing of the sexual abuse allegations when they emerged earlier this week, and President Trump said Thursday that he "100 percent" believes Jordan.

A “former UFC heavyweight champion” accusing somebody else of having “dementia”. That’s funny. I don’t care who you are. That’s funny right there. #MeTooOSU.

In response to a series of questions from NBC, Ohio State emailed a statement saying that the law firm Perkins Coie was overseeing the probe into the Strauss allegations for the university.

Perkins Coie? Perkins Coie? It sounds so familiar. Where have I heard this name before? Hmmm...

So now, when a Republican faces unproven allegations of sexual misconduct, that is not a high-enough bar.

Now Republicans facing unproven allegations of HEARING of sexual misconduct, THAT’S a crime.

Soon, it will be alleged that a Republican knows the definition of sexual misconduct, and that will be an impeachable offense.

Hey Paul people in glass houses should not throw stones. We know that there are plenty of skeletons in your closet and remember that two can play at this game. It is not a one-way street.

If the Republican House had any balls they would immediately dump Ryan and install Jordan as speaker. It would save the parties ars from complete ruination. The way it is going now the Republican House is totally a bunch of cry babies and getting nothing really done on the criminal communists Democrats that are currently laughing.

You mean these big, strong wrestlers couldn't take care of themselves? I think we have to look at their lifestyle at the time.

Sounds like a conspiracy to me.

And why did all the burden of disclosure fall to Jordan.

I’m not understanding something here- Was jordon a coach or some authority figure during that time? If not, then why are they accusing him of ‘knowing but ignoring’? In schools there are lots of rumors- you just ignore most of them because kids make a lot of crap up- especially when they don’t like a teacher, or coach or whatever- If rumors are grounds for police action, then nearly every teacher would be suspected of something-

The students that were molested couldn’t have gone to the police? They supposedly had crimes committed against them and they did nothing about it? Why is it Jim’s fault? Why wa it his respo0nsibility to do something about it?

Coleman was a great fighter- but apparently he’s a little snowflake that blames other people for his own shortcomings and failures- The police were just a phonecall away- Why did HE not do something?

Most articles on this subject aren't mentioning the scale of the scandal. It involved far more than the wrestling team and a pretty large number of school officials might have had some knowledge of it. But for some reason they're only focusing on an assistant wrestling coach.

According to the Columbus Dispatch, school investigators have received complaints about Strauss from former athletes involved in cheerleading, fencing, football, gymnastics, hockey, swimming and volleyball. Strauss worked for the school for more than two decades. He also worked at the school’s medical center and student health center.

With such a success against Moore, now the strategy to get rid of Republicans, with Republican help, is to throw out accusations. Not evidence, mind you, only an accusation. An accusation is just as good as evidence. Just ask Hannity.

Former UFC heavyweight champion Mark Coleman on Thursday became fifth former OSU wrestler to accuse Jordan of not taking action while serving as an assistant coach, saying that unless Jordan has "dementia" he knew about the alleged abuse.

Mark Coleman is either a faggot himself, or he was in on the sexual abuse ring.

Either way, he's a lying POS.

College age makes them adults. If something untoward went on, they had the responsibility/right to file charges — initially with the University and subsequently with the police.

Did they? There would be a record.

Shifting ‘responsibility’ to Jordan, who was apparently only a staff member, that he ‘should have known’ doesn’t fly.

With the Hastert situation, IIRC there were paper trails and and a history of money exchanges.

Initially, this sounds like a case of the seriousness of the allegations outweighing the substance. [Ref: politics of personal destruction and scorched earth.]

If I may speak to the young people:

if you want a career in politics, avoid being a wrestling coach. Everybody will assume you are into kids, and they may be right.

That’s it. Good day.

Has Paul Ryan ever steadfastly stood up to defend Trump or any other Conservative? For that matter, has he ever dedicated himself to implementing Conservative policy.

Paul Ryan is a total waste of time. He’s worthless.

Note to Paul Ryan:

When the democrats controlled the House, they lorded their power over you and anything Republican.

Grow a pair.

Whether it’s impeaching rogue judges, disbanding courts or withholding money from seditious agencies, do something. Show there is something between your legs.
