A very inaccurate observation because you are incorrectly assuming that all clerks become clones of the Justices they serve when it’s entirely possible the some clerks are, on philosophical grounds, opposed to their jurisprudence.
Maybe, but I’m of the opinion that most young people, not long out of Law school, just entering a coveted position, with a brilliant jurist, are going to be strongly influenced by being, in essence, mentored by that jurist.
Given more than decade of mostly conservative rulings on his appeals court, there is no chance Kavanaugh will be another David Souter.
The worst he'd be is John Roberts.
Well, now that Kavanaugh has been nominated, we’ll see if Paul follows through.
