The proposal to split California into three separate states is gaining traction just months ahead of the 2018 midterms, with many voters agreeing that the Golden State is simply too diverse and large to properly govern. The movement -dubbed by many as Cal3- calls for the division of California into three smaller states; each anchored by a major metropolitan center serving as the territory’s capital. While the direct plan has yet to be revealed, many are calling for the creation of California with Los Angeles as the state capital, Northern California with San Francisco as the capital, and Southern California with San Diego serving as the capital. “This is about people who want California to be fixed and saved and this is the way to do it,” the bids lead proponent told Fox News. “We have crumbling infrastructure, dirty water and failing schools. In almost every statistic, 49 states are doing better.” Read the full report at Fox News
And theyd each have 2 or 3 Electoral votes instead of 55!
Read the and.
There 49 reasons for this to go no where.
“There’s simply not enough population in the central valley and conservative SoCal areas to offset Bay Area & L.A.
There is if the illegals are prevented from voting. A good portion of California’s 10 million vote and vote Democrat. One of the prime reasons that Becerra and Brown resisted Trump’s Voter Fraud Commission. They simply didn’t want their source of power was the illegal vote. Heck before every election GOV Brown comes out and says that nothing will happen to non-citizens voting. Expect the same in 2018.....Electing John Cox the next Republican Gov. may be the start of reversing this and returning California to sanity,,,,,
Turning one Asylum into three Asylums, sounds like a plan.
And yes, I live here.

I think you need to study up on how the Electoral College is set up.
Frisco and LA should get together and form up the new state of Idiocy. Frankly, Frisco should be expelled from the US. A city that allows itself to be continually desecrated by the deposition of human waste on their sidewalks isnt smart enough in the aggregate to be an American city.
Sacramento is liberal only because of the liberal state government and it’s deep state bureaucracy. Take the state government out and the city will return to it’s conservative roots.....may take a few years, and un-gerrymandering (by Nancy Pelosi) the Sacramento voting Districts.
It all depends upon who and how the lines are drawn. As proposed it’s a disaster, a leftist power grab. Done correctly the right would gain immensely until those in the Blue state portion start getting pnked. Then they’ll then move out of the cities and infest the other two states.
Yes.
The D’s want to try to make a ‘state’ out of the District of Columbia (imagine that! it could be called the State of Disaster) and... also.. Puerto Rico
realistically, there are a number of states where the D’s rule because of big cities/welfare cesspools
Californication looks the same, except its interesting in that a lot of the successful (and even very wealthy) suburbanites vote hard-core communist/socialist/leftwing....
weird
if the R party would nominate people OTHER than their usual non-descript country club chamber of commerce Nobodies...
maybe, just maybe... the voters might consider tossing the DemoCommies out
but when the R party machine is SO COMPLETELY AND THOROUGHLY Defeatist.... well, you see the result (and its not pretty)
New States must be based on a near square rectangle, and not some Chili like, narrow twisted gerrymandered 3rd world sh*thole.
>> Theyre wasting their time.
Not in the sense there’s a desire for change.
Therefore it will never happen. It's destined to become the next Detroit. Keep it as it is and let the democrat Marxists get the credit they so richly hideserve.
But something that would help is if the voting records from the last election (especially Los Angeles county) could be examined for inaccuracies and other shenanigans.
No chance for that either though 😠.
It is click bait because while it excites many Conservatives top ponder breaking up the Left coast (which Hannity is expert at doing), the issue - dividing California up three ways - is (a) a bad proposal and one Conservatives will not benefit from and (b) has nearly zero chance of passing in November, regardless of it getting a little more support lately. Hannity is smart and certainly realizes that (if he’s spent any time at all looking at how the counties will be grouped into 3 states). So, it’s click bait because it is not really a serious subject, it’s a distraction that excites Conservativeas who have never analyzed the proposal or looked seriously at what people in the state think.
Say what?
Split into two. See Paul Preston and New California.
