All 12 boys and their football coach have been found alive after nine days missing in caves in Thailand, the regional governor says.
All 13 are safe, the governor confirmed, speaking after a mammoth search operation in the Tham Luang caves in Chiang Rai.
Rescuers had hoped they would find safety from flooding on a mound in an underground chamber.
The group's plight gripped the country and led to an outpouring of support.
Rising water and mud had impeded the search by divers.

During the search, I heard they found a couple Japanese WW2 soldiers still holding out. But that’s just a rumor.
Great news! When I first heard of their plight it brought back memories of the Adventures of Tom Sawyer and his cave “adventure” with Becky.
Fantastic news! Not expected either. Good book and or movie to follow.
Apologies, never heard of it before the reference, figured others might not have also.
Nice.
But, no good can come from soccer.
I used to do some spelunking when I was younger, a good bit of it in undeveloped caves. I have overnighted in a few, and fortunately they were relatively dry.
Nine days in pitch black (if no lights) where you cant see your hand in front of your face, a constant 56 degrees temperature, and potentially damp or even wet. They are lucky they didn’t perish from hypothermia.
Good news...
“movie to follow”
Tom Hanks as the coach?
Praise his Holy Name. Thank you Jesus for protecting these kids and their coaches.
A miracle - thanks be to God! I also wish that coach good fortune in his new career, whatever he finds.
Michael Moore as the yellow slug...
Cool! I did not have my hopes up. I guess it pays to be a pessimist sometimes.
Wonderful news!
Ha ha. I think we need someone younger. But good casting otherwise.
Its obvious why I never heard of it. Nasty.
I prefer Big John. And it was a hit.
A bunch of people were posting references to that song when the Chilean miners were trapped a few years ago.
Praise be to God!
Were any rescuers lost? I hope not. Too often (for my taste) rescuers are lost trying to reach people and animals who are playing the long game (usually their only game) and waiting it out.
Thank God they were found, though! Hope they cross the entrance and in the ambulances soon!
Wonderful news. Not the way I thought the story would end, much better.
