Rep. Steve King posted a warning on Twitter Sunday evening that the U.S. is heading toward a second civil war, comparing the present day actions of the anti-Trump resistance to the run-up to the Civil War.
King, an eight-term Congressman from Iowa, keyed off a PJ Media article about leftist protesters shutting down a Portland, Oregon ICE office and taking down the U.S. flag, replacing with an “Refugees Welcome” flag.
“America is heading in the direction of another Harpers Ferry. After that comes Ft. Sumter.”

That will not play out exactly the way you would think it would. If you are really talking about "way out in rural areas" and not just a few miles from a city. My advice is don't try that; folks there are a wee bit difficult when threatened.
Although I live in the bosom of Hillbilly Heaven, there is a *thriving* halal slaughterhouse about 8 miles away.

Every Federal Alphabet agency has an armed contingent and 90% of those people are liberals.
We quickly forget that Obama said we must have a civilian defense force equal to the Military then he proceeded to arm them.

Two different examples of “rural ‘Murica”:
In 1980, I worked for the census and every day, the enumerators tasked with counting the heads of my locals would come back to the office, screaming “WTF is WRONG with you people?”
They’d show up and be run off by porch dogs and shotguns.
I just laughed and said “They doan lak nobody fok wid dem” [”Southern Comfort” style]
Hell, they’re my people and *I* wouldn’t go tramping up on their property, uninvited.
Several years ago, outlanders were running a burglary scam.
They’d knock on doors and if somebody answered, they’d ask if so-and-so lived there, using a name they knew was not likely to be living here.
If no one answered the door, they robbed the place good.
Word got around and without any us of actually communicating it, ALL of us, in a hive-mind way, decided to just “not answer the door” if a stranger knocked.
We would wait for them inside, instead.
A week went by and they were caught by an old hillbilly who was sitting in his living room rocking chair, shotgun on his lap.
They were crying by the time the LEO came and “rescued” them.

Turns out we were right, and several local places were listed as targets on their laptop.
A TN trucker spotted them in the rest stop on South Mountain and they got caught.

In a scenario you mention the supply systems for the military will become chaotic as the nation descends into armed chaos, many will go awol and many who fire upon their fellow Americans will find they can’t go home again. The US military would sustain losses that they can’t replenish from at least 50 per cent of the population as they will be hostile to the US government led by liberals. The liberal cabals, seeing their doom coming upon them would come around to the notion of nukes either using them or threatening to use them on their own country.
The thing is, while we are occupied in our own internal struggles, I think certain other nuke players in the world will see to it to make sure we are finished off completely...either by invasion and or nuking the most troublesome parts of our nation...ending us for good!
So yeah at first, military forces might cause a few hundred thousand casualties but American is a big place and with only about couple of million men(many of which aren’t battlefield tested) to cover the whole conus(including Navy) and also many of which would have to be called home from over seas, the military would have a problem quelling a massive national insurrection especially when commanded to do so by military hating Liberals!
They’ll try to use use tactical nukes and other sorts of “rods from God” type weapons but these will be pyrrhic victories, leaving all sides in a weakened state. Our foreign enemies may see a chance to pick us off!
Even if they might be there they would have to deploy them and train their limp hearted fools, whereas firearms are fully deployed among conservatives. The force response would be legion. Beyond that a yuge number of us know how to force multiply.

Have had some liberal hag on my local news rag site constantly braying how the government would wipe out firearm owners.
Point out how the bulk of the military was not on her side, and she starts in with why the draft needs to return.
Her desire to see all "NRA" types and conservatives killed is palpable.
The left will start shooting live rounds after trump routs them in the midterms. They will lose thier minds and they will be stopped quickly by the military.
