“I’ve not heard one word about if we find people coming across the Canadian border illegally, we’re going to grab their children. Because I don’t think America–the part of America that Trump thinks is his base–would tolerate snatching white babies from white mothers.”

Dear Al, these people invaded our country. They committed a crime by illegally crossing our border. Color is not the issue. These kids are separated because your party wanted it that way. Trump was just going by the law.
The real issue is that the parents cared very little for their kids by subjecting them to the trek in the 1st place.
If we turned people loose and they have no place to go, that would be far worse for those kids.
Best thing would be to keep them together and immediately send them back to where they come from and make them go to embassies and legally file to come to the US. No exceptions. If they come illegally, they get sent right back, no lawyers. just go home.

I have never seen an American prison that has a daycare attached to it. In the USA if you commit a crime and go to jail or prison you don’t get to bring your kids with you.

Do you think that Sharpton admits to KNOWING that if he was “WHITE” he’d have been in jail years ago? Sure he does.
He also knows that he, personally alone, has a real ‘GET OUT OF JAIL FREE” card denied to most others.
When Elian Gonzalez got snatched the Republicans freaked out completely. The motivating factor is not the ethnicity of the baby, but the political party of the baby-snatcher. In both directions.
My extremely liberal acquaintance is marred to a retired Child Services manager. He also is very liberal. Throughout his career he has “snatched white babies from white mothers” hundreds of times.
I expect they trash-talk Trump for the issue at hand, but we haven’t discussed it; we don’t talk politics.
