Rasmussen Poll Shows Media blitz on border children separations appears to have failed

The leftist media establishment threw in every propaganda tool they have, from heart-rending videos of children of color behind chain link fences to abundant tears: crying children and MSNBC hosts Lawrence O’Donnell and Rachel Maddow weeping on air.

If only there had been puppies being tortured on the border, those images surely would have been used, pulling out all the stops for visual emotional manipulation.

And yet the Rasmussen poll yesterday showed:

When families are arrested and separated after attempting to enter the United States illegally, 54% of Likely U.S. Voters say the parents are more to blame for breaking the law. The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that only 35% believe the federal government is more to blame for enforcing the law. Eleven percent (11%) are not sure. To help understand the current political debate over the children issue, a closer look shows that 82% of Republicans and 56% of voters not affiliated with either major political party feel the parents are more to blame for breaking the law. But 60% of Democrats say the government is more to blame for enforcing the law.

Seventy-five percent (75%) of Democrats think the Trump administration is too aggressive in trying to stop the flow of illegal immigrants into the United States, a view shared by only 23% of Republicans and a plurality (46%) of unaffiliated voters.

Among all voters, 49% say the administration is too aggressive trying to stop illegal immigration. Twenty-five percent (25%) say it’s not aggressive enough, while 21% view the administration’s policies as about right.

I think it’s so odd, hiw these outrages come up, seemingly out of nowhere. A couple weeks ago, nobody was talking about the kids at the border. Fir the past week, it’s been all.over the news.

In the fine print we learn that this situation with kids was slos happening when dear leader Obama was president. But no mention is made of that , as abuse is heaped on Trump.

And what of the timing. This kids at the border thing exploded the day after the IG report of the FBI handling if Hillary Clinton was released. How convenient was that.

It makes one wonder, if the media save up certain stories to push at certain times.

Dems/Media keep altering the narrative because the last one didn’t stick. So, they try a new one — which is usually just a rehash of an old one.

Every time their current narrative falls apart, they revert to ‘Russian Collusion’.

The worst part of this border-children crisis for the media was the collection of pix — from the Obama years — getting circulated.

Maybe the reason it's NOT working is too many parents send their children to overcrowded schools - stretched thin on resources because schools are tasked with educating children of illegals when the parents of those kids work under the table and don't pay squat in taxes.

Or they've buried a child or husband or sister or bother who's died of opioid overdoses - opioids brought here on backs of illegals.

Or maybe a working class kid didn't get the entry level job because it went to an illegal willing to work for FOUR BUCKS AN HOUR.

Or maybe it's just whole neighborhoods infested with MS13 gangs and older citizens uneasy leaving their homes....

It's easy for liberal ‘elites’ living in gated communities, sending their kids to private schools, and feeling safe - to give the finger to the rest of us... twits like Rachel Maddow ‘above it all’ types. But she's in a minority... And the rest of us are sick of these insensitive out of touch liberal elites.
