Let’s not just to any conclusions.....
Another wonderful and loving pit bull that dindunuffin.
Cats do it less often than dogs do.
But again cats will give us heroics less too. This goes even for the mean pit bull.
German Shepherd pitbull that is
Someone didn't bother to read.
I stand corrected.
This one was a German Shepherd.
According to Dogsbite.org statistics for 2017, of the 39/(now possibly 40) dog bite fatalities in the USA, the largest number were by
1) Pit Bull (29 fatalities), (74%)
and the #2 spot went to German Shepherds (4 fatalities) (10%)
In 2017, seven dog bite fatalities involved canines from two or more different breeds, thus producing a death count total of 49 rather than 39. Seven dog breeds each contributed to one death, including: American bulldog, akita, doberman pinscher, giant schnauzer, heeler-mix, husky and rottweiler.
There is, however, no picture posted of the dog.
Usually there is a picture of the dog on someone’s facebook page.
I’m wondering if the dog was used for dog fighting.
Terika George aid says she's been constantly crying and that she apologized to her baby "because I always take you with me."
I've seen several others already this morning. I'm guessing these are written be kids educated in public schools where grammar, punctuation, spelling and sentence diagramming are no longer taught.
It’s important to never completely trust any size dog alone with a baby or small child.
WUT?
I don’t think a kid had much of a chance to survive in that family.
The word “aid” looks like it got in through a finger fumble.
I wonder if a problem is that as our society has become less rural, people are losing the knowledge of the inherent dangers in such a situation. Years and years of Walt Disney movies and pet food ads may be having an effect.
I agree, he should have read it... But the fact that most people assume a pit bull is the culprit also tells you something.
“Its important to never completely trust any size dog alone with a baby or small child.”
So TRUE!
The consoling thought is that the poor baby is now happy in paradise forever with God never to suffer pain or distress.
German Shepards are terrible for pit fighting. They can’t handle the stress on the rear. Believe it or not, the Sharpei is a more common fighting dog.
The extra skin makes it easy to defend against attacks to the rear.
But either way, dog attacks by other dog types DO happen. I mean my god just about 99% of all those little drop-kick dogs just unhinge the moment someone enters the room who isn’t their owner.
most people have no business having a dog. Hell, I rescued a Pug that was mean as the dickens and it took me years of focused attention to turn him around. But he was vicious because he was just locked up in a basement and kicked.
So German Shepards can do it too. But overall German Shepards are unique dogs. Ask the owners - they are almost mind readers. They are very intelligent and if the babysitter was yelling at the kid, or treating it like it didn’t belong the Shepard probably picked up on that and helped the babysitter out.
Dogs are wild animals in about 2 hours. And they shouldn’t be as widely kept as they are.
