Several gun-related businesses were suddenly and without warning disrupted in recent weeks when Intuit stopped processing credit card payments because sales were gun-related, The Post has learned.

Thanks to President Trump and Congress, I think most of us won’t need to use Turbo Tax anymore.
I quit using TurboTax four years ago when they jacked up their software pricing scheme (practically doubling the cost in one single year). They’ve made a number of bad decisions, and this gun purchases problem (if true) just demonstrates an ongoing problem.
I guess I will use some other Tax Filing service,
Love me, Love my Dog!
I have been using TaxAct for several years (on a FReeper recommendation), and I am very happy with their product.
Cheaper than TurboTax.
Meanwhile, nothing is being done about the illegal gun sales by criminals.
Intuit is also responsible for Quicken and Quickbooks
A boycott would mean a lot of other products and services would end. Quickbooks and Quicken come to mind right off the bat. LOTS of people use these for home and small business.
Maybe Intuit thought they could do this quietly and no one would notice.
I tried to send them a message via their website. Having used Turbotax for years, I’ll never use another Intuit product again.
Of course there’s no easy way to send them a message. Their site is laden with the typical lib company diversity and community commitment BS, though.
Just adding them to my list of boycotted firms, replacing Citi as the newest member.
They should not be allowed to do this. This corporate virtue signaling is getting ridiculous.
A legal transaction needs to be able to go through. Where does this end?
There’s a responsibility here with them as people are using their own credit cards in good faith to purchase goods and services.
That these companies wade into politics is beyond me. Why alienate a large percentage of your customer base?
Thanks for the timely posts.
Another reason to avoid all things made in the Bay Area.
I agree. I recently purchased Quicken 2017 to organize my finances. That will be my last purchase. what a bunch of leftards.
Intuit Turbo Tyranny.
They also had a personal information hack a few years ago. I quit using them when a co-worker's account there had been hacked. He tried to file his income tax as per usual, only to be told that he'd already done so and had already been issued a refund.
It should be noted that Quicken is no longer owned by Intuit, they sold the entire Quicken product line to HIG Capital two years ago.
Well, considering what causes more deaths, theyd damn well better be banning booze and tobacco transactions, too. If not, the are max hypocrites.
Booze, tobacco, and prescription drugs!
