The majority of white Americans and swing voters in 2018 swing districts say that change has made life worse in the U.S.
In the latest CBS News/YouGov poll, nearly 60 percent of white likely voters who see changes in their neighborhood from mass immigration said that immigration made their community worse. Only 15 percent of these voters said immigration has made American life better. These likely voters live in swing districts which could be swayed towards either the Republicans or Democrats in the 2018 midterm elections.
Likewise, the majority of swing voters in swing districts say immigration has been a detriment to their community, rather than a benefit, as immigration is often described by the political elite.
More than 60 percent of swing voters who said immigration had changed their neighborhood told pollsters the change has made life in America worse. Less than 15 percent of swing voters said immigration had made their life better.

Immigration has not made it worse... illegal immigrants who are paid pennies do
Saw it happen in Tennesse first hand.
There needs to be a twenty year moratorium on all immigration. From everywhere.
Yes, why is it so hard for a journalist, or anyone on the left to say, ILLEGAL IMMIGRANT?
Republican response - MASS AMNESTY!
this is cute as they want to use “immigration” in the title to make white people look racist...its not immigration that has made life worse- its ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION which is destroying towns..
All immigration needs to stop, even legal immigration it has been abused for so long in the name of globalist wage suppression. The lottery system plus chain migration is the worst. Anyone that doesn't agree is an idiot or has an agenda.
Because they are directly or indirectly being supported by the drug cartels. Even worse is the financial connection of our politicians.
Actually it’s both. The levels allowed into the country outpaced the ability to absorb them. Now, we have entire swaths of counties that do not assimilate. Not parts of towns........entire chunks of counties.
Bull. All imagination needs to stop.
>>Yes, why is it so hard for a journalist, or anyone on the left to say, ILLEGAL IMMIGRANT?<<
The ONLY proper legal term is “illegal alien.” Even
illegal immigrant” is incorrect and softer.
We’re getting a lot of Indians on H1B visas in our condo complex.I think most of them are either engineers or in IT and they’re not “immigrants” (assuming they go home eventually).
For 30 years BOTH parties have made it impossible for US to stop the illegal alien inundation.
There has been a bipartisan policy of non-enforcement of laws and borders.
We have only been allowed to vote for open borders/amnesty candidates by the control of the GOP by Bush League Republicans.
As a general statement immigration both legal and illegal since 1965 have made it worse.
IMO we need to stop *all* immigration for at least 20 years.
My agenda is immigration to those who speak English...
My agenda is to stop all immigration. For at least 30 years.
When large numbers of foreigners occupy big chinks of your country without permission, that is properly called colonization.
There’s no such thing as an illegal immigrant. There are illegal aliens, but no illegal immigrants.
Any and all definitions of immigrant in the US Codes relating to immigration refer to someone who has some kind of legal status. So when you call someone an “immigrant”, regardless of the word “illegal”, you’re halfway to legitimizing them.
