Charles Krauthammer, the beloved and brilliant Fox News Channel personality who gave up a pioneering career in psychiatry to become a Pulitzer Prize-winning political analyst, on Friday revealed the heartbreaking news that he is in the final stages of a losing battle with cancer.
The 68-year-olds incisive takes on politics of the day have been missing from Fox News Channels Special Report for nearly a year as he battled an abdominal tumor and subsequent complications, but colleagues and viewers alike had held out hope that he would return to the evening show he helped establish as must-viewing. But in an eloquent, yet unblinking letter to co-workers, friends and Fox News Channel viewers, Krauthammer disclosed that he has just weeks to live.
I have been uncharacteristically silent these past ten months, the letter began. I had thought that silence would soon be coming to an end, but Im afraid I must tell you now that fate has decided on a different course for me.

Amen. So sad.
68 years is a good run.
Whenever I disagreed with him the thing that bothered me the most was his condescending opinion but I rarely changed the channel on him.
God bless him and may he ascend with grace.
I guess his time has come and gone along with a bunch of others.
By Brookss own estimation, he and his fellow anti-Trump conservatives represent a politically insignificant splinter of the Republican Party. And yet their number includes not only Brooks, but Bret Stephens and Ross Douthat on the Times op-ed page; Michael Gerson, Jennifer Rubin, Max Boot, Charles Krauthammer, Kathleen Parker, and George Will on The Washington Posts op-ed page;
What a difference between this man and I am sorry to say, Senator John McCain who's military service I respect but not his bitter rants.
I hope I can and will say I am looking forward to being welcomed into my Saviors loving arms to begin the real existence I was created for!
Amen. His Yeshua.
He took issue with both Trump the campaigner and the POTUS. However he did it in an intellectual and respectful way unlike media hacks of the Alphabet Networks.
My wife and I loved Charles. This is so sad. Prayers and candles for his soul.
Amen. Totally agree.
Yes.
An amazing statement from a man who tragically lost his mobility and spent life in a wheelchair. He said he didn’t spend any time moping about it, but carried on to do what he had set out to do.
His life should be studied by the snowflake crowd.
Didn’t always agree with him, but his comments always seemed well thought out and delivered with class. Two things sorely missing in a lot of commentary today. People like him will be missed.
After his accident he was told he would be a quadriplegic for the rest of his life. He could have given up. Instead he went on to make the best of the life he had and was able to live well and make contributions to society. He will be missed. Congratulations Dr. Krauthammer on a life well lived.
The others mentioned are not worth to be sitting at the same table with Charles Krauthammer and thank God they weren't.
As others have remarked, what a classy and dignified way to exit, unlike McCain.
Unfortunately the last broadcast I remember Krauthammer contributing much was Fox’s election night coverage. He was so anti-Trump that he embarrassed himself by hanging on bogus exit poll data and ignoring real votes by a majority of Americans in most of the vital swing States. He made a total fool out of himself as did his buddy Rove. Both utterly blew the analytical work they were hired to do. As each hour went on all of their wisdom was proved incredibly false.

That is a very nice tribute.
God bless Dr. K. May angles sing thee to thy rest.
He played the cards dealt him and played them better than even God could imagine... He's a good man - he'll be missed.
