Economic war between Mexico and the US? I won’t need a lot of popcorn for this one.

Of course, we could consider illegal aliens to be one of Mexico’s exports and charge a tariff on each illegal alien captured along the US-Mexico border - send the bill to the Government (such as it is) of Mexico.

Why are all these countries attacking our bourbon? Sheesh. They must really want their people to suffer.

Stop all money transfers to Mexico from anyone who isn’t able to prove legal residence and employment in the US.

Sounds like NAFTA is on the way out.

In NAFTA, the US is one of three, like any other. In bilateral agreements, the US is the overwhelmingly more powerful.

The biggest problem with NAFTA, is that Mexico and Canada exploit it to take a small cut for letting China and others avoid US controls to dump their products into the US market. Free money for them; while US industries, workers and tax revenues bear all the burdens.

I guess this proves the rest of out "trading partners" really don't believe in tariff free trade. LOL!

Like we needed more proof the rest of the world practices mercantilism and protectionism.

Winning!

National companies do NOT pay tariffs.
Mexico already charges 4 to 1 high tariffs.

The people are now learning how tariffs work and succeed.
It may appear counter intuitive but not really.
The USA has been screwed by Tariff Free Trade since 1913. Let the learning begin and never vote otherwise.

MAGA

Shutdown one or two north-bound truck lanes. Let their stuff go bad in the traffic jam.

Sending cash south by wire should be taxed and/or funds set-aside until written proof of the income tax payments being made.

Time to stop playing nice. Just close the border, entirely. Bet they change their tune overnight, else see a revolution in a few months. And, send home all Mexicans in the US. 25% of the Mexican people are in the US. How will they fare with them back? We sure don’t need or want them. Imagine a day without Mexicans?!
