"Whatever the confluence of speech and free exercise principles might be in some cases, the Colorado Civil Rights Commission's consideration of this case was inconsistent with the State's obligation of religious neutrality. The reason and motive for the baker's refusal were based on his sincere religious beliefs and convictions."

Where will Michael and Barack get their baked goods if this goes national?
Is this the cake shop that was destroyed and put out of business by the Frauds gaystapo?
He’s still in business, but no longer does wedding cakes.
He was facing huge financial penalties that would have bankrupted him if he had lost.
Ginsburg breathes?
Or does her head just slump over like that anyway?
Son = soon
>>Ginsburg dissents<<
Proof knee-jerk liberalism survives into death.
Someone needs to give her the mirror test.
Gotta wonder if this wasn't Roberts doing his consensus-building thing to get a couple more votes by narrowing the scope.
Sweet. Like cake.
With almond/buttercream frosting sweet!!!
CNBC is so in shock they respond to a 7 -2 ruling like this:
“Supreme Court rules narrowly for Colorado baker....”
LOL!
Yes! Been praying for a victory here!
“The government, consistent with the Constitutions guarantee of free exercise, cannot impose regulations that
are hostile to the religious beliefs of affected citizens and cannot act in a manner that passes judgment upon or presupposes the illegitimacy of religious beliefs and practices.”
from the opinion...
Now known as the Anti-Religious Leftists.
Will the DemocRATS side with these two?
Yes, out of business now, so much for swift justice. How will this baker find justice for the wrong done to him?
Half the country trying to stomp out Christianity, and the other half trying to keep it. Glad the good guys won this round.
I’m a bit surprised to see the Jewish Lesbian deciding correctly on this one. I’m not surprised to see the Wise Latina and the Zombie deciding incorrectly.
As I was afraid, this is a very narrow ruling that leave the door open for attacks from other directions.
Why can’t this freakin’ court RULE on the foundational issue for a change?
Bingo!
Mike Farris of ADF, pled this case in front of the USSC.
He’ll be at the Western Conservative Summit this weekend, where I hope to get to speak with him.
We were on the Chess Club at Park Junior High.....1965
But they did decide on free exercise grounds, so that’s good.
The commission violated the bakers civil rights of freedom of religion by forcing the gay issue. The commission should be forc d to repay all legal fees and expenses plus interest and pain and suffering.
