The Guillotine is a gruesome instrument of Justice. It was named after Dr. Joseph-Ignace Guillotin who recommended that the French government adopt a gentler, more humane method of execution. It was used for capital punishment for more than 150 years. The last execution via the swift blade took place in 1977 just before the French outlawed capital punishment. Early on it was an especially favored instrument in meeting out Justice for traitorous political plots. Today, the term heads will roll originates from its use.
It may take a few more months to clear away all of the remaining roadblocks and stonewalling. But, the incriminating documents will inevitably be procured. Too many people were part of the plot. Some will cop a plea. Professionals inside the FBI are now coming forward, asking to be subpoenaed so that they can testify before Congress. Motivated to clean up this mess, they want to share what they know. President Trump is now fully engaged and demanding complete transparency. Even his worst detractors would attest to his tenacity.
Once Professor Halper is extradited from Oxford and is facing the possibility of life in prison for his central role in the conspiracy, he will sing like an Irish tenor. Combining his testimony with the OIG Report and the treasure trove of incriminating evidence surely contained in the 40,000 documents yet to be turned over should be enough to convict at least six of the high ranking co-conspirators. Perhaps the Sessions appointed investigator from Utah has already authorized secret electronic surveillance of key figures. If so, that information may net even bigger fish.
Former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper probably did himself serious damage with his earlier conflicting statements made under oath. But, his backhanded admission that yes, at least one Confidential Human Source (Spy) was hired to imbed and entrap Trump campaign operatives certainly cooked his goose. That could have happened only with his approval. His ham-fisted attempt to justify the treasonous actions by saying that Mr. Trump should be thankful because they were only trying to protect him from the rascally Russians probably wont play well with prosecutors. His clumsy reasons for not sharing any of this with Trump and not providing similar protections for the Hillary campaign only add to his problems. There will be no offer to strike a deal with him. The paper trail is clear. It will make him disposable. He must know by now that his head, metaphorically, is on the block.
The complicated story of the Insurance Policy referenced in text messages we now know was actually operation Crossfire Hurricane. It is all unraveling as I write. It wont take a team of mean-spirited partisan prosecutors to prove the treasonous political motives behind it. Objective observers can see that. Just as more and more Americans now see the whole Mueller effort as little more than a stinky partisan smokescreen designed to cover the actions of his high ranking friends at DOJ and the FBI. The fog will continue to lift, it always does. The media subterfuge and excuses notwithstanding. It may be hard to prove that Mueller and his team colluded with Comey et al. But as the facts of this ugly story continue to unfold, Muellers work and reputation will suffer permanent damage.
All of the delays, redactions and obfuscations by Rod Rosenstein make sense only if we assume that he is somehow complicit in the conspiracy. His claims of protecting the integrity of the DOJ and FBI ring absolutely hollow. He must be covering his own tracks. We will know very soon what part he played in creating the mess and how he delayed finding the facts that would lead to its resolution.
Let me be clear, I am not calling for the construction of a Guillotine on the Capitol Mall. But, the Spygate scandal is real! And it represents a dangerous threat to our Republic. There has to be accountability.
Heads will roll. They will definitely roll!
I think Gomer got sent to ‘Nam.
“I saw baited breath in a story the other day.”
I could sight other examples, but it’s a mute point.
If not the Democrat-communists will do this again.
For one, and perhaps this is the most important point, is that what occurred really has nothing to do with Trump. If one were to read the death sentences for either Charles II (English civil war) or Louis XVII (French revolution), their respective crimes of treason were that they were committed against the state.
Sure, there were leading figures, such as Cromwell and Danton, who personalize and put faces to the attempted coups conducted by the former monarchs, but in reality, they are simply representatives of the true sovereign - the People.
Same is true of Trump. He many have been the particular directed personal target of the coup, but the true war actions undertaken by the traitor Hussein et al were taken against the entire sovereign aka We The People. As such, Trump in his duly legally authorized role of upholder of the constitution, is responsible for conducting the response to this war effort in a means satisfactory to the peace of the country.
Trump cannot opt out even if he would like. People should think about and savor what that means. The matter of conducting the war is not Trump's choice - he is obligated to uphold his oath to defend the country against both foreign and domestic enemies.
Charles I (gotta be careful with the roman numeral notations)
Wholly crap Louis XVI (try typing roman numerals correctly)
Absolutely.
There are plenty of Trees and Lampposts in DC.
No need to spend Taxpayer Money on Gallows.
That being said, the old saying “hope for the best but expect the worst” will have to do for the time being.
I have no illusions that Justice will be served based on the Historical Record, but I’m keeping my fingers crossed.
I am decidedly not in favor of heads rolling. It’s messy and unsanitary, and the revolutionary French didn’t do it. They put baskets under the guillotine to catch the heads in a civilized fashion, and anyway, how else could the executioner hold Hillary’s medusa-like noggin up to show the crowd when he needs to? He’d have to go chasing it down the street, still screeching “I should be 50 points ahead!”
They should swing, no doubt about it.
Rosenstein was Trumps worst appointment
........................................
Not necessarily. I thought so too at first, but now think how much good the Mueller probe that he started is going to do for Trump and his supporters:
1) Is there anything else that could have backfired so well and hopefully lead to the unraveling of the Deep State? We’ve never had such a great opportunity to do that!
2) Trump’s approval is rising, GOP midterm prospects are rising, and I’m sure the David vs Goliath narrative of Trump vs The Deep State is a big part of the reason for that.
In those days plotters, conspirators, traitors etc would be broken on the wheel for their efforts. Now, they go on book tours and make millions.
I'm pretty sure that should read, 'meting'.
“The hell with that..bring out the Bradleys, SAWS, Ma Deuces etc.”
I’m a kind & gentle person. I’d probably start with rubber bullets, fire hoses, sonic cannons and German Shepards. Then move on to the fun stuff...
oh I want to believe. I want to believe. But, after almost two years of this non-stop media Hell, I rather doubt that any justice will be served. Just saying...
Wake me up when Louis Learner gets arrested.
Heads will roll?
I doubt it. No Democrat heads, anyway.
Even if a Democrat gets indicted, getting 12 guilty votes from a Washington, D.C. jury will be impossible.
And if Republicans lose the House in November, the entire investigation will stop, except for Judicial Watch and Fox Cable News.
I have not read about any sealed indictments from U.S. Attorney John Huber.
Do you have a link? Thanks.
In any event...
(1) Huber was originally appointed by Obama.
(2) When Trump re-appointed Huber, not one Democrat in the Senate voted against Huber.
(3) Huber was appointed as a special investigator for Hillary Clinton issues and FBI misconduct by - wait for it - Jeff Sessions!
