Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) in an interview with The Hill said he thinks Republicans can make a play for Democratic Sen. Sherrod Browns seat in Ohio.
Brown previously hadnt been a top target of McConnells, who just last week left Ohio off a list of Democratic-held seats he saw as top midterm targets.
His new comments point to the growing optimism among Republicans that they can widen the map, and that their electoral prospects are improving with a strengthening economy and an uptick in President Trumps approval numbers.
I saw a survey within the last week in Ohio indicating that race is very competitive. I would certainly add Ohio to the list, McConnell told The Hill.
Etc...

Yeah but McConnell is like Colonel Klink. Cut the opposite wire he tells you to cut.
Sherrod Brown should be vulnerable. He was supposed to be a very progressive Democrat. He has been the Sounds of Silence about "his" issues. It seems he stands for NOTHING, except a sure, quiet US Senate vote for the Dems.
That's my take, anyway.
I don’t suppose anyone would be so gauche as to ask Sen. McConnell what is the reason for his improved confidence level.
So just how will he try to screw it up.........I wonder
McConnell is compromised.
He can’t openly campaign for the democrats as much as he wants to.
All he can do is NOT help republicans.
Trump’s rally’s and his unfiltered twitter megaphone have the RINOs frozen in place.
I have a very good feeling about the mid-terms.
If establishment pubbies get their heads out of their rears, they can own Washington for decades. If they acknowledge they have a winner in the White House already, he has even more support from us Deplorables and others.
They ran on ‘promises’ that POTUS is making happen. That goads some of them and inspires the others.
Voters cheer and turn out in record numbers.
It makes you wonder...
DeWine (R) got 147,000 more votes than Cordray (D) in the Ohio Gov. primary.

Oh Turtle. Dont take credit for anything good that happens in November. YOU ARE THE SWAMP YOU POS.
Correction: 147,000 more GOP voters than Dems in the Ohio Governor primary.
“McConnell sees Ohio in play as confidence about midterms grows”
No thanks to you A-hole.
Now, That requires him to come up with a devious plan to screw that up.
Oh Turtle. Dont take credit for anything good that happens in November. YOU ARE THE SWAMP YOU POS.
If we win in November, it will be in SPITE of Rat Boy and Turtle Face!!!
Apparently people believe that having a legislative body work as effectively and quickly as the Executive is possible.
Dividing the party is stupid when the targets are elsewhere and in droves.
Well Mitch you know what you could do to show voters that a Republican Senate is valuable and gets things done? Keep the Senate in session all summer and use the Harry Reid nuclear option to ram every single last judicial nominee down the Democrats’ throats. That would show us you mean business.
NO TURTLES IN OHIO!
Mitch is dealing in pure fantasy. Brown is a magic political name in Ohio for generations. Trump and Sherrod talk the same language in industrialized Ohio about America First, jobs, etc. Repub candidate against Brown is a nobody canon fodder. The Governor’s race is a rematch where former US Senator DeWine thumped Cordray and now Cordray has been repackaged as a disciple of Elizabeth Warren who set him up in that consumer protection gig in DC.
It’s over Mitch.
There’d be more “in play” if McConnell had spent the past year and a half working WITH as opposed to AGAINST President Trump. IF only the GOP had worked in tandem you could be looking at a 60 R (veto proof) majority. Instead, he caved to Schumer at every chance.
