Dont wish me a happy Memorial Day. There is nothing happy about the loss of the brave men and women of our armed forces who died in combat defending America. Memorial Day is not a celebration.
Memorial Day is a time for reflection, pause, remembrance and thanksgiving for patriots who gave up their own lives to protect the lives and freedom of us all including the freedom of generations long gone and generations yet unborn. We owe the fallen a debt so enormous that it can never be repaid.
Memorial Day is a time to honor the lives of those who would rather die than take a knee when our national anthem is played. But they will fight and die for the rights of those who kneel.
This holiday is a time to think of young lives cut short, of wives and husbands turned into widows and widowers, of children growing up without a father or mother, of parents burying their children.

Like Obama.
My guess would be on the high side of 80-90%.
I have...on MANY occasions.
You must hang around weirdos.
YES.
You must hang around with weirdos.
OK OK, you guys win. People say it... But why?
No. I’m a 31 year vet and still on active duty and a 24 year pastor. I hang around some pretty great people. It’s just something I’ve heard before. Perhaps you are too proud to admit something actually may happen in the world that is outside of your bubble.
He just feels bad because he never shot bin laden.
Some people are not thinking partly because Memorial Day weekend marks the beginning of summer.
Saw one today. I also see a lot of well-intentioned good wishes for veterans (nice sentiment, and thanks, but wrong day.)
Robert O'Neil is completely correct.
If I had shot Bin Laden, I would probably manage to work it into a lot of conversations.
I agree, and it isn’t really a day to express happiness....more like respect, appreciation and gratitude.
And yet this very site has a banner up to remember “our vets.” As a veteran myself, I do not expect to be “remembered” on Memorial Day. I expect our fallen heroes to be remembered and honored.
All gave some, but some gave all.
Fact is, he didn’t do it. Laden was dead long before. It was all for Obama’s needed distraction at home.
He’s the only one alive...the rest of the team obambi had killed...he was paid well, I’m sure. Bin Laden is still alive.
I would put absolutely nothing past Obama and his minions but I don’t think all those special forces guys would lie.
I saw it come across facebook from a nation wide company. I see their posts as I helped one of their franchisees get started. I replied to their advertisement/graphic post that it is improper to say “happy memorial day”. They IM’d me with a bunch of back peddling gobbledygook but didn’t alter or pull their post. Idiots.
Why did he profit off of this?
One, I did not assert that Google was my God. So that is a very poor attempt on your part to create a false straw-man argument.
Now as to your question, yes. I have heard people tell both myself and others “Happy Memorial Day”
