A few days ago, Seahawks receiver Doug Baldwin was hoping he wouldn’t be in a position anytime soon to be asked a question about the national anthem and a statement by president Donald Trump that would result in a headline-making comment.
Baldwin, like many of his NFL-playing counterparts, thought the issue of players making protests during the anthem was receding and the focus turning to the league acting in concert with players to address their concerns that led to the protests in the first place.

Baldwin might do well to keep in mind that Trump is a self-made real estate tycoon and, not least, President of the United States, while Baldwin is a musclebound mental defective who makes a living running around on a grassy field with an oblong inflated ball playing a children’s game.

After years of a true fan I am continuing to lose interest in the NFL. I’m looking forward to the high school and college football season. The overpaid pompous primadonnas in the NFL can kneel all they want - I won’t be watching.
I have a new Sunday routine in the fall now and NFL football is not a part of it.
