Former FBI director James Comey on Wednesday slammed President Trump's recent claims about the FBI, accusing him of “lying” about the bureau's work.
Comey’s tweets comes as Trump has intensified his attacks on the agency in recent days, claiming without evidence that the FBI placed an informant within his campaign for political purposes.
"Facts matter. The FBI’s use of Confidential Human Sources (the actual term) is tightly regulated and essential to protecting the country. Attacks on the FBI and lying about its work will do lasting damage to our country. How will Republicans explain this to their grandchildren?"
"Dangerous time when our country is led by those who will lie about anything, backed by those who will believe anything, based on information from media sources that will say anything. Americans must break out of that bubble and seek truth."

How will they explain cleaning the criminals out of the FBI, DOJ and the rest of the Feral Government?
Probably the same way Eliot Ness explained how he cleaned the criminal mob out of Chicago?
How will Comey explain his own dishonor, faithlessness and criminal acts to the next generation?
I’m more worried about explaining to my grandkids (when they arrive) why we let a bunch of unelected career bureaucrats usurp our constitutional republic and turn it into a mechanism for enriching them and keeping them in permanent power while taxing the crap out of the rest of the country and running up a gigantic debt.
I have a feeling the DOJ has spies who spy on spies who spy on spies who spy on everyone they think keeps the checks coming. We are what we most fear.
Comey is delusional. I will explain it like this. The CIA, FBI, and DOJ all became highly political, they thought they should decide who should win a presidential election. We tried to put them all in jail but didn’t have the time due the need to repair the country, MAGA!!!!

You must parse their words to understand the Clintonian meaning. "For political purposes" is the operative phrase. These "informants" were spying on the Russians to protect Trump. They were not there to spy on Trump or so the meme goes.
I already explained to my grandkids that the federal gubmint is rotten to the core.
If Hillary was elected, non of this would ever have come out. I’m sure Comey, Brennen and Clapper are soiling themselves.

Using the federal government to spy on an opposing political party indicates it is NOT regulated nor is this activity essential to protecting the country.

Comey. The grandchildren won’t even know about it because it probably won’t be taught to them by the education system. Furthermore, most of the grandparents will have passed on by the time the grandchildren are old enough to care.
And then I will tell them that for the good of the Republic many of the traitors had to be imprisoned. And then I will tell them that some including Comey, Obama and Hillary Clinton had to be hanged for treason and their souls are now burning forever in hell with John McCain. But I will tell them in a gentle way so as not to scare them.
“The FBI” used to be a TV drama show. It needs to be re-cast as a sitcom.
“Once upon a time, there existed in America three little enemies of America named Clinton, Obama and Comey....” How’s that for a start? Somewhere in the story, a big bad wolf named Trump comes along and blows down their straw houses.

Where is the proof that there was evidence of Russian collusion? And secondly, if there was, why entrap or plant the narrative you want with these low level guys?
