Time to STOCK UP on Round-Up, friends. And be prepared to spend WAY MORE for food, once it is pulled from the market.

It’s probably been labled in Cali for years as being known to cause cancer. In Cali. Just like the label on my garden hose and garden shovel. Good thing I got a couple gallons of concentrate in the shed. Now, moving on to di-hydrogen monoxide and it’s dangers.

I’m open to examination of any chemical exposure risk.

But I’m not a nutter tree hugger either.

My family farms, there are all kinds of risks in that. It has always been so.

The real damage for huge chemical/seed companies? Concentration of control of the agriculture industry by destruction of smaller scale private agriculture operations.

If they are gone (the numbers are very small already) food/fiber will be much more expensive.

The chemical/seed companies have bought politicians for many years. Result? Example: The growth of Sengenta (little Monsanto) and subsequent sale to the ChiCom Government. Prior to that, they bought the best breeders from the dominant Ag research universities and made entangled deals with the universities and then the Swiss owned company sold to the Chinese Government for 13 billion dollars. Not good outcome in the future.

Claims against a deep pocketed defendant. Hardly news.

Roundup and most toxic ag chemicals are designed to decompose quickly under sunlight.
On the container is a warning suggesting to use mask when applying.

It is a great product and one of the few which can deal with thistle type weeds.

If it kills weeds, it is bad for you.

"Here, hide this salt toxic to cell walls on this molecule that the cell wall thinks is just yummy!"

Only a moron would accept that product as benign. It's now in our wells and rivers nation wide.

#1 money maker in farming though!

We used Round-Up for 23+yrs at the nursery and on customers’ properties, and I’ve never heard of a single case of cancer.
Unless maybe you drink a glass of it for lunch each day.

As with any chemical, personal protections - long sleeves, gloves, eye and face protection etc - are in order when you use it.

Reading toxicology reports now...

typical leftist lies from the uber-leftist propaganda organ, the manchester guardian.

out of dozens of studies over the decades, only a single bogus EU/UN “study” claimed glysophate caused cancer.

On another note, I have a paver patio that was not properly installed - ants bed under it and have caused it to sink in places then weeds try to grow between the pavers. What can I put out to keep weeds from sprouting? If I just use RoundUp, they come back in few weeks. I want something that will not allow them to return, yet won't be so toxic that it kills plants in the bordering flower bed.

:(

Should not be sold without a prescription

Prescription? That's lunacy driven by the worst kind of chemicalphobia.

....even in the stores that carry this deadly product

Deadly product? Good grief.

Glyphosate inhibits an enzyme that plants need to grow. The enzyme is called EPSP synthase. Without this enzyme, the plant cannot create the proteins required to grow, which will, eventually, lead to the plant’s death. Because most plants use this enzyme, most are susceptible to glyphosate applications. Humans and animals do not use EPSP synthase.

People fear glyphosate because they don't know what it is. The media and sue happy attorneys count on that ignorance to pursue their agenda. Meanwhile, everyone else gets to enjoy plentiful food at competitive prices.

Johnson had a job as a groundskeeper for the Benicia unified school district where he applied numerous treatments of Monsanto’s herbicides to school properties from 2012 until at least late 2015. He was healthy and active before he got the cancer diagnosis in August 2014

How much exposure did he have? A couple years and it killed him?

Anyone with any basic knowledge of science knows that Round Up is only dangerous to plants.
This scare mongering is ridiculous .
