I know is is frustrating, but have patience. I am guessing we will have a little red meat this summer/early fall. The real action will occur after we secure our increase in the Senate and hold the house. Playing our hand too soon could cut into the increase that we expect. This is pure (educated on the passing scenery) speculation by me. As for any reaction by Sessions, it will most assuredly be done outside the public forum. He cares not what others may say, or think about him. He is about getting the job done. He is not a person that requires acclaim. But, I’m not even certain that any investigation of FBI covert actions has already been started. There are a couple of outside Washington US Attorneys that have been brought in to quietly work. My hope is that Lausch (being the chosen one to supervise document production of the FBI) is already sensing/evaluating what the documents show about FBI spying. Those of us that were not raised in a soundbite generation, and have actually waited on a jury, know that complex schemes aren’t unraveled in a short amount of time. Even the IG got new info causing a delay after a year. Patience is a virtue. Sessions is old school - he gets his facts in order, and keeps his powder dry, before he fires on a target that has crosshairs lit.

I have little if any patience for people who so not understand nor seek to do so what is going on bigger picture

Have done a lot Internationally as well as domestic and have been blessed to be involved at very high levels in both internal as well as collaborative initiatives and frequently brought in as a troubleshooter in organizational issues, and not just in identification but remediation as well

My Great Great Grandfather was a Union officer wounded severely who spent 2 years in hospital in a southern prisoner of war camp in Richmond, Va. He was released in a prisoner exchange just 2 weeks before the Emancipation proclamation which ended that exchange till the end of the war.

Trump has fired his people left and right since he has been in office just a little over a year. Nobody can tell me a good reason he has not fired Sessions which leads to the only conclusion that Sessions is actually doing his job.

The goings on in DC are the like of which I have never seen. There is a war on and there are rumors, leaks and psych-ops presented as news flying around and Trump with his not broadcasting his war moves. Unless you are an insider in Trump's or the NSA's inner circle it is a guessing game at this point so news junkies are spending their days in the guessing game.

If Trump wanted Sessions gone, he would already be gone like the rest of his hires. Trump is a CEO with all the personality traits of one.....he is not attached to anyone under him if they are not doing the job. There is a deeper game being played....and we are not going to know what it is until they want us to,.

Sessions appointed a prosecutor out of Utah to look into the Hillary investigation...If this guy finds no wrongdoing by the DOJ and FBI, we’ll know that Sessions is a black hat...

On the other hand, if this prosecutor isn’t bought and paid for by the gov’t mob, we and the mob will know Sessions is a white hat...But if they have something on Sessions, the behind the scenes prosecutor won’t dare find anything on them...

The only other thing that makes sense to me if I reach far enough is that this attacking of Sessions by Trump’s allies is all show to keep the media busy, protect Session and convince the bad actors that they’ve got it made in the shade while Trump carries out his agenda behind the scenes...

A couple of outside attorneys? Oh Sweet Lord, I hope we have far more than that working on this. And you know, the company Sessions keeps (Dinning with Rosenstein and supporting him and word and deed for instance) is far from encouraging Justice will be done where he is concerned.

Let me assure you that the outside US Attorneys have more lawyers working on this than the Special Counsel does. Being a lawyer myself, let me assure you when obtaining information, a skilled investigator can run circles around a lawyer; for example, a skilled investigator can use pretext to get information where a lawyer can’t. People open up to investigators and shut it down with lawyers. But it takes the lawyer to be the technician to weave the fabric together for a Judge. My memory is that 1/3 or so of Mueller’s staff are FBI investigators, not lawyers.

Personally, I’d like to see the “esteemed” (with much sarcasm) Robert Mueller show up in Court and make an argument before a questioning judge. I believe he is overrated s a lawyer. If I were advising POTUS, I would insist that Mueller be the only opposing lawyer in the room during any interview. It’s time for him (Mueller) to strut his stuff.

Janine is dead right that Sessions is a far bigger problem to Trump currently than Mueller, Rosenstein, or anyone else. He is completely MIA where needed. Completely. I won't call him a part of the deep state. I think he is just not the street fighter we need heading DOJ at this time. He is a gentlemen fighter in a knock down, drag out street fight, which is why he is getting his clock cleaned. Trump should have fired him the day he recused himself, saying that he would not be able to fulfill his full mission at DOJ.
