Listen, I know the moments after a gunman opens fire in a school are hectic for you. You have to get your talking points together, you have to mentally prepare to debate a traumatized yet sensible child, you have to look at yourself in the mirror and practice saying that more guns would have made the situation less deadly. It’s a busy time! And since we are always either in the moments after or the moments before a mass shooting, you’re pretty much always busy, I have noticed!
Anyway, I just wanted to drop you a line and let you know that I now actually do want to take your guns.
All of your guns.

They know the kind of environment of terror that they will create by murdering a group of people. They know it will make headlines. They know they can deal a disproportionate amount of damage. Think about how it would feel if people got murdered end masses on a bus, at the bank, at the store, at the mall, etc.These people know all of that, and so they do it.
All day long I have been asking my “friends” what gun law they would pass that would have prevented this shooting.
So far, after 24 hours I have been yelled at, called names, and yet...no one has come up with anything that would have prevented it.
And, what has prevented all of the workplace mass shootings?

And that’s exactly why people own firearms.

Rats! I was hoping the site allowed comments. I was going to tell Mr. Holmes that it’s a swell idea, and that he should start right now on the south side of Chicago or in East St. Louis. That ought to shut him up... one way or the other.

It would be interesting if this guy Holmes actually has the guts to post a big sign on his front lawn that there are no guns inside of his house.
Anyhow, I would like to see him, or any of his fellow snowflake, Communist fellow travelers, come and try to take the guns out of the hands of the average citizen. They might get a few, but very quickly the coroner’s van would show up with body bags and haul all of these jackasses away for good.
The simple fact is that people like him have failed to educate their children in any kind of self-control or morality. There used to be teens by the hundreds of thousands that brought their guns to school, with ammunition, to participate in a school shooting club. This occurred all over the country, yet there were no school shootings. Why is that? The answer is simple: because those kids knew right from wrong, and they knew that there would be an enormous penalty for doing the wrong thing, both here and in the afterlife. Kids these days, at least the ones that are picking up guns and shooting other people, don’t have any such knowledge or awareness. THAT is the cause of our school shootings. Yet, people like this jackass Holmes turn around and think that the answer to their failure to properly raise their children is to take the means of self-defense and defense of our liberties out of the hands of sensible, responsible, law-abiding citizens. No, the answer isn’t taking guns away from those who have done nothing wrong. The answer is to have irresponsible parents control their spoiled little brats.

Yes, now it will be interesting for Democrats that own firearms and have been kidding themselves...
I want people to raise their children and not simply let them grow up. So many of our serious issues are a direct result of no parenting/poor parenting/abusive parenting.
We will also truly have to deal with mental illness in this country. At this point it is all about the rights of the mentally ill and not at all about the rights of other people they effect. That needs to change. Some things really need to be about what is best for this country and we the people and not about catering to certain people.
When I clicked on the story (to see who the author was), found a link about Laurel/Yanney from the White House (never watched or heard the original). Trump has the best answer! Way to go, POTUS!!
