The National Weather Service has issued an ashfall advisory after radar showed the massive plume.
Hawaii Volcano Observatory officials confirmed that there was an explosive eruption, but still have yet to assess whether it was a steam-driven explosion that they have been warning residents about for several days.

OK but our home is devastated. We’ve lost many of our belongings. Struggle with heavy feelings at times. Trusting God to show the way forward.

Agree ..... I was EOD, we were lucky to have lots of equipment and tools available and a compressor with a few 30 pound air tanks as well. That powdered grade of fine dust was the worst.... like that found in talc or new bag of concrete. Crazy then , never been in volcanic ash but have a few jars of the stuff sent to me on the shelf....
Caliche roads in our drought stricken area create a very fine dust problem currently. I really try to conduct a weekly PM on my air filters and vehicle cabin filters...... Stay Safe Troop !

Im saving $$$ to get a
K & N Kit for the New 2018 Colorado We just got.
Im still trying to figure out how We took the 2015 Cruze in for an Oil Service and a few other things and left with this Truck that only had 32 miles on it when We left...
The only answer I can come up with is: If Mama aint happy, then NOBODY is gonna be happy thing.
Im not up on those but will check them out. Damned good idea on the Pantyhose, quite the different use of them from back in the WWII Days;)

Pantyhose also makes good material as a pre-filter like we discussed here, and Anti-Reflection Devices (ARD) for scopes, binoculars, camera lenses..... as well leaches and tic’s protection in bad environments .......... problem is the owners can be pretty wild and wiggly to get em from in the field. Then theres always the bank robber disguise thang . As an added bonus you can use em as an emergency fan or alternator belt to limp your vehicle home. It works. Multi-Purpose use item to keep in your tool box ......
Stay Safe !

LOL !!! Hand em over Baby. NO! These are Mine... Back in the Dayz in Houston I was running late for the Supertramp Concert as I had to change the H2o pump on the Cosmic Banana (1968 Fury III 4 door that I only paid $50.00 for) and I was supposed to be the Ride for about 10 People. Well those of little Faith found other rides and I only had 3 others stick with Me. I finished the pump change and put the old belt back on, hit the shower and headed Downtown for the Show. We were in Our seats before the ones lacking Faith were in Their seats. We saw a GREAT SHOW and when We left for Home the old belt tossed itself and got shredded. Well I put the ol noggin to use and turned to My Girlfriend and said, Honey I was planning on asking this later after We dropped everyone off but Please give Me Your Pantyhose so We can get Home. Everyone looked at Me like I was crazy so I explained it to them. 45 minutes later everyone was at Home except for My Girlfriend and Myself 😬 The next day She and I made a trip to the Parts Store for a Belt and then to Victorias Secret the replace the PH with a Garter Belt and Stockings😃
