WASHINGTON — Texas Sen. Ted Cruz is among a handful of Republican senators expected to attend the controversial opening of the new American Embassy in Jerusalem on Monday, his office has confirmed.
The trip comes roughly five months after President Donald Trump formally recognized Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and announced plans to relocate the U.S. Embassy there from Tel Aviv.
Cruz, who has long called for such a move, praised the decision as “courageous and heroic.” But many Arab and European leaders slammed Trump for upending a decades-old foreign policy in which U.S. presidents declined to weigh in on the contested city, leaving the issue to be resolved in peace talks between Palestinians and Israelis. Both groups claim Jerusalem as their capital.
Cruz will be joined by Republican Sens. Lindsey Graham of South Carolina

I KNOW you’re full of it when you whine about “such hateful memes about Cruz.” First, because you and yours are crying the same thing about the little jabs at Cruz on this very thread, acting like he’s receiving death threats.
Next, what was said about Cruz WAS NOTHING next to what Cruzers contrived to metaphorically whip Trumps burgeoning support back under Ted’s banner.
Ted was always our fall-back guy if Trump imploded...that is, until y’all got involved in “supporting” him. Thanks to Ted Cruz FR supporter, MANY alpha FReepers wouldn’t support Cruz for dog catcher, now.

And I’m not whining. I’m simply pointing out the inexplicably harsh vitriol that some FReepers continue to have toward a good conservative Senator, 2 years after the dang primary ended.
