White House press secretary Sarah Sanders on Friday confirmed that Kelly Sadler, the top White House aide accused of joking about Sen. John McCain's death in a staff meeting Thursday, is still employed by the administration. But Sanders otherwise repeatedly declined to comment on the reported remark, or how President Trump views McCain, who is being treated for brain cancer.
As The Hill first reported and other publications later confirmed, Sadler, in a conversation about McCain's disapproval of Mr. Trump's pick to run the CIA, said, "It doesn't matter, he's dying anyway." But Sanders declined to comment further, and only divulged Sadler's employment status after she was pressed about it a second time.
"I'm not gonna' comment on an internal staff meeting," Sanders said multiple times, when reporters prodded her as to whether the White House believes it should address those remarks.

She should say, the staffer still has her job and will not be replaced by anyone like Senator McCain ... because the president prefers people who aren’t dying.
Was this really an insult or just a statement of fact taken out of context?
The staffer should get a medal.
There are too many moles. Its time to get tough on them.
I heard a guy on the radio today say it was Never Trump leftovers brought in to the White House by Rinse Pribus.
McCain - from his death bed - recently insulted the hell out of Sarah Palin.
Crickets.
No worse than InSain disinviting Trump to his funeral publically. Who cares if some aide made a silly joke.
I think Kelly Sadler deserves a promotion.
In the same vein, I won’t be unhappy to see McCain demoted to six feet under.
Excellent!
Those remarks are tame when compared with remarks McCain has made about the President and others on his staff. He McCain has been a vehement enemy of the WH.
Yeeeesssss! An indelicate remark certainly, but said in the privacy of the office. WHO LEAKED IT?
Sarah Sanders confirms White House aide accused of insulting John McCain still has a job

A sure sign that at least one sane human being works in the White House.
Even if McCain wasn’t ill, no one cares about his opinions.
Sounds to me like Kelly should have got a promotion.
President Trump is as responsible for Sadler’s remarks as Cindy McCain is for her husband’s remarks. Both are perfectly free to state their opinions however unpopular they may be. And, it just happens to be true that John McCain is dying.
The leaker has to be found and fired, I sure agree on that.
>>The leaker has to be found and fired, I sure agree on that.<<
Absolutely! President Trump, order your people to track down that leaker and FIRE him/her before whoever it is causes more damage.
I don’t wish to speak ill of the soon-to-be dead, but what you point out about his last decision to deprive his State of half its votes in the Senate convinces me he deserved the Songbird title. For 40 years I’ve tried to be fair and to take reports of his POW and pilot years under advisement.
But here tonight on FR, this comment summarizes his character. I am done being fair and am not going to think about this horrible man when he’s gone. His entitlement and delusions of grandeur have disgusted me for too long.
May Arizona be free of this man and his followers and get a Senator who speaks for the common man.
Let the senate first censor McAmnesty for his insults, then Trump can reprimand the aide.
Anything to try to divert attention from his accomplishment of getting those hostages released.
So how is this an insult? he will be dead soon! again the truth is like garlic to a vampire
