Four people have been shot inside Opry Mills Mall, according to police.

“Mecca” Does that mean a place where Islamists congregate?
“Let me guess............................”
But we don’t have to, do we?
“Isnt some big NYC financial firm moving some/all of its personnel down to Nashville from NYC?
Nice timing there.”
Yep, because no one ever gets shot in NYC . . .
Is there a way to correct title to “1 Shot” vs. 4? Initial report said 4..
It’s a mall called “Mill.” It was formerly the Opryland theme park that was demolished to build this mall.
I suspect it’s more about money than crime.
“Yep, because no one ever gets shot in NYC . . .” Nashville’s homicide rate is nearly three times as high as NYC. In fact, the crime rate in Nashville is significantly higher than NYC across the board.
Ok, still, what is an “opry”?
Domestic problems, according to talkshow host in Nashville (Phil Valentine).
Informal opera.
Will the Grand Ol’ Opry become a Minaret, where the country-western greats will call the faithful to prayer and the Grand Ol’ Mosque?
My daughter was there. Sat in a Vera Bradly (?) closet for 2 hours. Her texts and calls will stay with me for a while ...
Metro told her there were 2 shooters, and had them both. Still too much fog to figure anything else out, time will tell.
Prayers for the little boy shot in the neck.
It’s right near the Grand Ol’ Opry - I haven’t been there in years. I don’t know how they got “mills.” It’s near a river - a tour boat is right there too. Maybe there was a mill on the river, and the mall is a tribute to it.
corruption of “opera.”
I’ll admit the only similar word I can think of is “extra.”
Country folk will sometimes say “extry” instead of “extra.”
Oh, my! Glad she is safe. Prayers up for that little guy. Nashville used to be such a safe place.
1 shot.
1 dead.
No other victims.
No other suspects.
From the context, I gather the singing was country stuff, not anything like an opera with Pavarotti, Tiri Te Kanawa, etc.
