Interestingly, one thing lacking in her statement is, “My husband didn’t do it.”
She should be thankful it wasn’t mob justice.
You got to give Camille credit for one thing, she IS loyal. Whether that loyalty comes from blind love or for other reasons (he has dirt on her) I don’t know. But at this point, if she wanted to, she could divorce him and clean him out just with the evidence against him so far.
There appears to be universal condemnation of Cosby on these threads. I am not inclined to believe the rantings of prosecutors or of yellow journalists. Nor, for that matter, do the ravings of harridans about injustice back in the day carry any weight with me.
I do not seek to draw blood from those who stand for justice and fair play. The need to disparage good works is unseemly, nasty, and ugly.
In all Camille’s complaint does not fall entirely on deaf ears. There is substantial reason to approve of her sentiments.
Race race race. So sick of that card. If he was guilty, fry him. If not, let him go. That’s all I care about.
There's an old joke about the way to see if your wife or your dog loves you more is to lock them both in the trunk of a car for an hour and when you let them out see which one is happy to see you. Seems like in Cosby's case the dog would lose.
He should have never spoken out about the need for Black males to be responsible and help raise their children.
He could still be living in the lap of luxury.
This will teach him and others not to leave The Liberal Plantation.
I don’t really blame her, all the others got away with the same and even worse.
“There is substantial reason to approve of her sentiments.”
Was he denied due process? Did a mob actually break into jail and lynch him, or at least sentence him without evidence? Do you think all the women that accused him were lying? Do you think he was lying in interviews when he admitted to giving drugs to women to have sex with them?
I think your approval is misplaced.
I was talking to some folks who live near the Cosby’s Berkshire Hills compound who said all of the property and money is in her name.
Cosby admitted under oath that he illegally drugged women and had sex with them. All while married to the constitutional scholar, Camille:
In July 2015, some of the court records were unsealed and released to the public from Andrea Constands 2005 civil suit against Cosby. The full transcript of his deposition was also released to the media by a court reporting service. In his testimony, Cosby admitted to casual sex involving recreational use of the sedative-hypnotic methaqualone (Quaaludes) with a series of young women, and acknowledged that his dispensing the prescription drug was illegal.

I tend to agree that this was akin to mob justice. The pile-on from all his accusers wasn't about justice, it was about a big payday in the form of civil lawsuits. Yeah, Cosby was a philandering pig, but I don't think true justice has been served in this case.
Sorry you married & stayed with a serial scumbag.
He was drugging women to have sex with them. Screw him.
As the audience applauded, the recipient of this tribute did not rise, did not wave, she did not even smile. She sat there stone faced, imperious.
I found it curious even odd. Had this ever been done for the spouse of a guest, particularly one not herself in show business?
Perhaps it was demanded by a woman scorned.

What good does putting him in prison at this point accomplish? Cosby is no threat to society. Probation should be enough or the very most a house arrest. Meanwhile OJ is a free man.
Or is it all about her?

There are a number of things to consider about all this.
First is of course, why does it take decades to bring these accusations. I simply refuse to listen to a decades old accusation for a number of reasons, one is that after such a long time nobody remembers exactly what happened. Stories take a life of their own after a while. Second why is it that the Philanderer in Chief has never had to face any charges, because there is no evidence. Third, I could never convict someone if I were on a jury where it was his word against hers. Fourth, I would NEVER believe someone who drank wine and took pills without them being forced allowed something to happen to her that she didn’t expect.
As for his wife sticking with him, I will get flamed really bad over this but, the sexual standards of the black population are simply different than the white population. Many black people have exactly the same standards as their white neighbors but it you count how many unmarried men have children by more than woman and how many women have children by more than one man I think you will see a stark difference between the two populations. It is simply more acceptable in some societies for men to cheat on their spouses than it is in others.
Nothing I have said here means I support philandering, on the contrary, I abhor it. We do however have to realize that it is wrong for us to force our morals on others who have their own standards. It isn’t wrong to try to get them to change, only force them to do so.
I do believe that Cosby was targeted because he strayed from the liberal reservation. Until he strayed he was held in the highest regard.
So?
Not a crime. Not nice but not a crime.
